  1. The Merry Mixed Up Month of May!

    May 4

Razor - Gillette Red Tip Super Speed
    Blade - [IMG]
Soap - D.R. Harris Marlborough Shave Stick
    Brush - @Jayaruh #54
    Post - Alum

Not a bad start to the week. A day off of the road and I really didn't have to do much otherwise for a change. We enjoyed two gourmet meals today. Little Caesar's for lunch and Hardees for dinner. Don't tell me we don't know how to live it up here in the Lou! Actually dinner was supposed to be something else but a storm killed the power about the time it should have been cooking. So we improvised.

Not much improvisation on the shave today. Stayed with the Red Tip and Sharp Star. Pulled out the stick of D.R. Harris Marblboroush. The JR54 had no difficulty with the face lather at all. Fine, lightly scented, slick and comfy lather led the way for a three pass shave to BBS. Alum was silent and the day was finished off in perfect style.

They started opening some things up around here in St. Charles County today. I can tell you, they can open it up but that doesn't mean I'm gonna jump right in. I have dearly missed the fountain drinks at Quik Trip around here and they did reopen those today. I didn't get within six feet of it. Not yet. Sorry. I work out in the middle of what's going on. Not gonna trust my health to a self-serve fountain just yet.

Hope you have a great Tuesday!!

  8. Awesome MITA shave, Evan!

    2 pass DFS is a skill that I wouldn't mind having. ;) :D

  9. Awesome shave Tim! I have had that ear/jawline landing setback. Nine times out of ten the blade is not parallel to the area so that the toe is closer to the neck than the heel. This will make the point or edge of the toe to nick the shaver. Always keep that blade straight and parallel while maintaining the shave angle before landing in that area.

  10. Great shave and report, Neal! Love That Red Tip set you have :D

  11. Blair, thanks for the kind words on the shave and the tips on the bike. I know who I'm asking bike questions. :)

These were our bikes before we got the Bromptons. Pretty basic, and we had them for years. Even had all the paperwork when we donated them to a church group that provided bikes for kids.

  15. Doing too well--they're always a bit quieter when they've got a cold or some other minor ailment (and when I have the cold or minor ailment, I can sleep through the noise) ;)
  16. That is so awesome for your parents to give you such a fine early birthday present! Enjoy it for many shaves to come Myles!

  18. Thanks, Joe!

Yeah, that set-down was a combo of coming in too steep and not parallel. Oddly enough, it was the heel this time, which is a bit of a rarity for me. Be it toe or heel, it most certainly was not parallel--gonna have to remember to shave in the opposite direction for a couple days till the skin rights itself :)

  19. Nice shave Neal! Years ago, they had Hardees on Long Island, but it never caught on here. I miss those flame grilled burgers.
