  5. Nice report and image Joseph! It's just me....I always have a dry towel for hand wiping next to shaving area...and slippery DE or SE razors, I just don't do. Long gone. Love that Alt Innsbruck bottle.

Wow, what a read Tim! Awesome. Great progress happening on your shavette journey!

  9. Thanks, Gary. As good as Voskhod and maybe...Sharp Star.
    Thank you, Joe.
Thank you, Clint. As people have commented, for $30 it's as good as the Merkur 37C.
Tim, you are quickly becoming a master of the shavette. Next up...the straight. That'll be nothing for you. The most challenging thing about a straight is stropping and maintaining an edge.
  10. Thanks, Clint--much appreciated :D

  11. Yes, it is pretty clovey, but I like that.

It's finally moved from mentally taxing to merely tricky ;)

    Good evening guys!

    Rockwell Blade DE (?)
    Stirling Boar Brush
Stirling Bay Rum SS and As
    Nivea ASB
I didn't need to shave today, but it's a dreary day on LI so I decided to do so. The Stirling brush produced a nice lather. This Bay Rum scent is awesome, but there are some shavers who may not like the clovet note. I always keep my adjustables on the max setting for every pass. Two passes with some pickups gsve me a BBS shave without incident. Liberally applied the matching aftershave and there wasn't any feedback. Topped the shave with the Nivea balm for an enjoyable shave. Have a nice evening guys! 20200506_163130.jpg 20200506_163130.jpg
  14. Vintage OS or the Indian version? I’ve always wanted to try the Gabels.

  15. Great shave, Joe!
  16. Thank you Joseph! I need to hit the books and get myself educated and get my razor in sharp shape--looking forward to learning :D
  17. Fantastic shave, Joe--if anything can take the dreary out of a dreary day, it's a nice Bay Rum shave! :D

  18. Thank you Jim! It's a no shave day tomorrow so that I will have a Favorite Friday shave. I am glad that I have a couple of days to decide what I'm going to use. Decisions, decisions, decisions. Lol!
  19. Thank you Tim! It's the only Bay Rum scent that I own and I am cool with it. I have plenty of soaps and aftershaves that I need to use up before I decide a new Bay Rum scent.
  20. Great looking shave Joe. Love the bay rum.
