    Reduction Weekend # 5 Shave # 1
    Rating: 5 / 5

    Razor: Tuckmarr 5/8” Maccassar scales
    Brush: Ever Ready 200T
Lather: Stache Soap Works E Barber
    Aftershave: Stirling Barbershop
    Additional Care:
    Barbero Alum Block
Thayer's Witch Hazel - Aloe Vera
    Stirling Unscented Glacial Balm

Reduction Weekend combined with a Just One setup. I have picked one soap which I would like to work on finishing the tub. Stache Soapworks E Barber is a very nice old school barbershop scent. (At least to my nose).
The Tuckmarr straight performed well. An extremely smooth and comfortable shave. I add a sample of the Stirling Barbershop aftershave to the den. (Many positive comments on the various social media formats). Figured I give it a try. I am not disappointed.

Here it is May 9th, ice water shave no problem. Fireplace on to heat the house. Really! Mother Nature needs to get its act together. Pool opening this week.

    Have a great weekend.
  4. Good shave this morning. As I noted yesterday, this Central Shave Soaps Grandpa's Barbershop looks quite moist even before the loading begins. I think in future uses of this soap I need to take less time wetting the brush under the sink tap. I had 2 cuts, one during each pass. To me, as I've said, a "cut" is a weeper on steroids. Just having them ruined the otherwise great work from the soap and razor. Nice finish with Clubman Original. With the cuts, the rating moves down 3 to Very Excellent.
  5. Great looking photos.

  15. Wow! That Rocnel is a beautiful razor. :D

I'm excited to see you begin your straight shave journey. The Wade and Butcher looks like it has seen some history--I like razors like that. Has it been honed yet?

  16. Really awesome that you were able to nail a difficult hone :D

Less awesome about the cut, though. Nothing serious, I hope?

Awesome pics and report, Jeff! That Ronson looks really cool, and I'm glad you were able to get such a great face shave out of it (means that a BBS dome shave is imminent :D)
