  3. You know your getting better when the mistakes aren't that serious.
  4. Gentlemen, thank you all very much! As I said, we're working through some last-minute preparations before our trip. The more we can plan ahead, the simpler the next few weeks become when the primary focus will be on caring for my Bride. The Lord has blessed me with the ability to plan and work out logistics, so that part comes easy for me. As simple as it may be to some of you (not to me), I will be the primary cook and bottle (and everything else) washer. I can handle washing and cleaning, but I'm not the best cook. I do OK for myself, but my relaxed standards allow me to eat anything I can reach. ;) We're even pre-planning some simple, nourishing meals that I can manage for both of us. As with anything else, I can learn with practice, and it will get better. :)

For the most part, we are at peace, knowing that God is in complete control. However, I confess to moments of (needless) worry. When I step back and look at the wonderful circle of friends, encouragers, prayer warriors, and medical professionals that He has placed in our path, I am humbled and grateful. I count you all, my friends, in this group. I'm thankful for my faith in God and in His grace and provision. Lacking that, we could not muster enough strength to stand right now. As it is, we're standing tall. :)

I'm also finishing up an important project that has been on the books for awhile. It was not pleasant, but necessary. It will feel good to finally put this one to bed.

I just made it back to my target weight after being a "bad boy" earlier this year when we were in Florida. One of the benefits of home isolation is eating better.
I'm so sorry, Patrick. Prayers for you and your dear family, my friend. Hang in there and lean on the Lord.
  5. Thanks, Joe! Keep on keeping on, my friend!

  8. Do you have a modern laptop? All you need is the video on the computer camera. You can use your phone for sound.

  9. It’s doable. We could do 9 PM EST, which would be 6 or 7 your time.

  10. What uplifting comments Charlie! It truly is God's protection over your lives in the midst of this pandemic. Greater is He that is in you, then he that is in the world. Be encouraged because He has overcome this world. Congrats on getting back to your target weight. Stay strong in the Lord my brother!
  11. No I don't. My phone is my main internet source.

Phoenix Artisan Accoutrements - PS Tube 2.0, ASB Star Jelly, CK-6 SS & AS/C - Gondolier
    Simpson Chubby 2 Synthetic
    Tanifuji Maxifli Gold 6/8

Early morning shave....just getting to post. Simpson Chubby 2 and CK-6 shave soap formulation....bowl lathered to rich and creamy awesome goodness. Seems to be one of the softer CK-6 formulations, as I'm moving through the tub quickly (or just using too much! ;)). A few laps through pasted strops/linen/leather, and the Tanifuji was ready to go. Smooth shaving from this brushed stainless blade w/muted yellow scales. Comfortable and well balanced in the hand. Audible on every stroke until there's no growth left. First pass was WTG (North - South), second was XTG (nose to ear downward), third was XTG (neck only, ear to nose downward). Little buffing on the right chin/jaw. Smooth as can be after 3 passes, but did end up with a very good weeper on the lower left neck area. Somewhat frustrating, took the alum stick twice to get it under control after the shave. Oh, well, it's a Monday. Finished off with PAA's Star Jelly then the matching Gondolier aftershave and cologne. Still catching whiffs of it mid afternoon.

Thanks everyone for reading about my Monday!

Hope you have a great day!

  14. Ok guys! Here is my promise to you! I am in my car at a shopping center just getting some air.
  15. I've heard that it is a good dupe. When it comes to alcohol based aftershaves, though, I have to be cognizant of what is available through a Canadian vendor, unless I go down to the border (who knows when that will happen again) to get it myself.
There are a number of Canadian vendors, though, so I can get my hands on a vast majority of stuff- Italian Barber, Fendrihan, TopoftheChain are my usual haunts, but there is Classicedge and Stonefields as well. I've not heard of any of them carrying WSP products.
  16. Beautiful picture, Blair! Your CH2 is stunning!
