    Excellent picture, Clint!
Awesome, Blair! The brush and bowl look like they were made for each other.

Beautiful photo and awesome gear! Love the lines on that Olivewood handle! La Toja is a great shave stick! Performed fantastically, and I enjoyed the scent (though the Missus was not quite as fond).

Beautiful photo, fantastic gear choice, and awesome report, Blair!

Stirling's Executive Man is an Aventus dupe, and I loved it. So did the Missus--she even got me the EDT for Father's Day. The soap will probably wind up being a repurchase at some point in time. Actually, it would already be in my den again if the scent strength was just a bit stronger--how's the scent strength for PAA's take on Aventus?

Thanks Clint! I am enjoying the Autostrop even more than I thought I would. Yes, our little ones push us to be better in ways we didn't even know we needed improvement.

The J3Customs kamisori I used is a western grind, meaning it is equally hollowed/beveled on both sides of the razors edge, much like any straight razor, even similar to DE or SE blades.

A traditional grind kamisori is not evenly hollowed/beveled. One side has near a half hollow bevel, the other side only a slight bevel, which allows honing almost flat on the stone. The two images should help. It's traditional that the lettering is always facing out when shaving (which makes each kamisori almost all right handed or left handed), but you can use both sides. The front side (lettering side to skin) is very touchy, digs in easily.

Awesome Asian shave Jim! It must a be difficult razor to shave the face because the sweet spot is small. Without reading your report, I was looking at the soap's cover and immediately thought of an Asian motif. Apparently, the designer did a great job to elicit an appropriate response from me.

    SOTD THURSDAY, MAY 14, 2020

This morning I decided to shave with my Schick “Paul Revere” Injector produced in the mid 1970s as a collaboration between International Silver Co. and Schick. It is a Type L Injector and was an homage to the Revolutionary War Silversmith and featured a ‘cutlery’ inspired oversized handle.

Since I have large hands, the razor feels great, and delivers a first rate shave typical of the L Type Injectors. For my software I selected PannaCrema Nuavia Blu, Fine Accoutrements Platinum AS Splash and A&E Post-Shave Serum. I decided to lay off the menthol for this shave after my Cryogen experience yesterday. The Alpha Shaving T-400 Tribute was my brush of choice for which I selected the 26mm Two Band Badger ferrule.

After my shower and cold water rinse I went to work on the PannaCrema which smells so good! Being a nasal barbarian, that’s about as far as I get with scent descriptions. It’s a very rich, luxurious soap with great post shave skin feel. The “Paul Revere” Injector, while not as efficient as some of my other razors, reduced my whiskers in three successive bloodless passes (WTG, ATG, ATG) to just shy of the BBS level. The razor felt great in hand and left me feeling clean, smooth and refreshed!

RAZOR: “Paul Revere” International Silver Type L Schick Injector.
    BLADE: Schick B-20 Proline Injector
    PREP: Cold water rinse
BRUSH: Alpha Shaving T-400 Tribute w/ 26mm Two Band Badger Ferrule
    SOAP: PannaCrema Nuavia Blu
POSTSHAVE: Cold water wash with brush squeezings followed by Thayers Lavender WH and Fine Accoutrements Platinum AS Splash. Finished with A&E Post-Shave Serum.
