  3. Thanks, Tim. The DE-Vette is simply becoming less intimidating. Yes, The CH3 is a large knot...too large. I prefer the 22-26mm knots.

    Razor - 1946-'47 Gillette Aristocrat
    Blade - [IMG]
Soap - Blood on Steel LE for 2019 Meet Up by Stirling
    Brush - 30DC LE Meet-Up brush w/ SynBad bulb by @jtspartan
    Post - Alum

Long cloudy day today but lots of food got delivered. That's a good thing. Came home tired and dry as no rain every found me. Apparently, I don't smell bad so I didn't need an outdoor shower. I did need a shave, however, so I broke out the Aristocrat and Vodkhod one more time. Since I used the 2018 Blood on Steel last night, along with the first edition 30DC brush, I used the 2019 Blood on Steel tonight along with the 30DC Meet Up brush. Fantastic lather from the SynBad knot and three passes knocked me down to BBS and a very relaxed and happy camper.

Hope you had a great Saturday and got to do something fun or just relax. Sunday is here again in a few hours. These weeks are FLYING by!

  17. Right now I don't have any interest in blacksmithing. I lean more to crafts that can be reduced to a formula. Calculate the parameters, follow the procedure, let the tools do the real work, that's my craft. Hammer forging has a lot more art to it.

However, my interests change pretty fast. It's actually the steep part of the learning curve that I enjoy most, so who knows.
