May 19th & 20th MAYhem Razor: Valet Auto Strop Blade: Feather FHS (14 & 15) Brush: DSCosmetic Galaxy 26mm SilverTip PS & AS: Proraso Green SS: Colonia Di Agrumi Back to using the VAS to see how far it will go. I have increased the stropping to 10 strokes per shave. I also noticed if I don't hold the razor straight the strop twists slightly and the blade doesn't fully contact the leather. This has really helped. Both shaves where amazing 2 pass DFS shaves. If I can make it to 21 shaves on this blade I will consider it a success. I may go farther but I have a shelf full of other razors which need my love. I am really trying to kill this soap. Any guesses on how much longer this will take?
May 20th Br. Aristocrat Jr w Lord Platinum Stirling Finest / Maple Fine Platinum combo Thayers Continued to work my way through some neglected or never used blades today. Pulled out my only tuck of Lords, which I believe came as a gift from the vendor on another blade order. Have 2 left, so I guess I used 3 over the past several years. Only Lord blade I have, and the only Egyptian I have, as far as I can recall. Whipped up the usual excellent Fine lather and had 3 easy passes with the Canadian Rocket. Blade is fine. Nothing special, nothing awful. Have a great day all!
awesome shave and pic Jason, good morning..i have a fine italian citrus in the new bottle like your platinum.but the guy from simpson who skewed your brush label moved there and did the same to the aftershave..
Good morning Gary , nice classic shave and pic!! I may have to dig out the Williams myself . I like boring shaves Jim. Those are the cut and nick free ones !
Jim, I've spent parts of many summers out there-Rocky Mtn. National Park specifically. I was in Golden for a few days in June, 2018. Nice place!
