  1. Seems like yesterday you were just starting out, Tim. This shave was particularly successful, congrats.
  2. Thanks, Joe. I did that stacked lather as a joke. :p I do prefer a "looser/wetter" lather, i.e. "non-stackable".

  7. Nice 'n crazy shave, Jason. You might need some of that epoxy to repair your epidermis.
  8. Neal, that razor looks like it has been run over by a 1980 Lada. :happy097:

  10. Thank you Joseph. The loft on the B25 Boar is taller than the Mondial and a bit more floppy.

  13. They do indeed want the sales, and they have a good solid way of showing it, that's how I see it. Would their salesmen have been hired if their bosses saw them as mean, grumpy, pessimistic-in-nature people?

  14. May 22nd
    Razor: RR Gamechanger .68P
    Blade: Astra SP (3)
Brush: Grizzly Bay SnowCloud/TDR Fanchurian V5
    Pre-shave: PAA The Cube
    Soap: Fine Aquamarine
    PAA Galactic witch hazel
    PAA unscented Star Jelly
    AS: Fine Aquamarine

    Fine Friday

    Good morning!

I was rearranging razors last night and I found the Gamechanger with a blade still in it, an Astra SP with two uses. A quick one shave detour if the new baseplate ordered for the CX-316L arrives today. Wonderful shave! Three passes for near BBS. Silent alum.

    Happy Friday! [IMG]

  16. Had some beautiful shaves over the last week, the first one wasn't particularly smooth, but the end result was excellent, switched out the lion DE for the second shave, and decided to keep using the aristocrat for at least the next month.

I finally binned the derby extra after its 15th shave and replaced it with a fresh one.

I also rotated my different shaving products, as good as Arko is, I've gotten a bit bored with using it day in and day out, so i used my Arko cream and then my credance by the grooming dept puck.

This stuff is absolutely fantastic, especially good for winter because of the high tallow and duck fat content, very very moisturising, you barely need a moisturizer after using this stuff. Might even become my staple soap this winter.

    Shave 1:
    Brush: Omega 49
    Blade: derby extra (1)
    Razor: Lion DE
    Soap: Arko shave stick
    Aftershave Balm: prep

    Shave 2:
    Brush: Omega 49
    Blade: derby extra (2)
    Razor: 1948 barber pole aristocrat
    Soap: Arko shave stick
    Aftershave Balm: prep

    Shave 3:
    Brush: Wilkinson sword classic
    Blade: derby extra (3)
    Razor: 1948 barber pole aristocrat
    Cream: Arko cool
    Aftershave Balm: prep

    Shave 4:
    Brush: Wilkinson sword classic
    Blade: Derby extra (4)
    Razor: 1948 aristocrat
    Soap: grooming dept, credance
    Aftershave Balm: prep[IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

  19. Another Gillette Foamy day but I switched to the Stoylin Glacial Lime A.S. Wowwww...what a cold kick! But as expected, right? Lovely lime scent. I figure on saving this aftershave for the hot&humid days, but it will be over 80 today, so I figured humid or no humid I'm trying it. It was a fine shave, but one thing I worried about is that there was a bit of blood spilling from that cut I developed two days ago(just as I was shaving with the Bill Neumann cream). I need to watch that area today, no doubt. It's OK now, but at my next soap shave, I need to apply a little more over that area than anywhere else. Maybe the Glacial aftershave helped cool it down some, eh! Pretty Excellent.
