  1. Thank you, Joe! :D

I'm sure there are folks out there that love them, but I struggle with them using my shavettes :angry032: :happy102:
  2. Thank you, Gary! Enjoy yours as well :D

  3. Thanks, Jim! Amazingly, there have only been 3 or so blades that I would turn around and walk away from--the rest have ranged between pretty-darned-good and phenomenal :D

  9. Happy Friday Tim. The fact that you are using a subpar blade without real irritation is proof of your progress.

  13. Definitely pleased with the results I've been getting and can't wait to jump into straight razor shaving.

I've got the razor, but it's in desperate need of a honing. While it's getting honed, I'll grab a strop, some higher grit lapping paper for touch ups, and possibly some CrOx on balsa. My guess is that learning all the upkeep will be the most difficult part of shaving with a straight ;)
  14. very good sir, have you sent the straight out already?.i think straight users recommend having at least 3 or more straights.on in use,one back up and one out for service.24 days left..:).or more..
  15. something i would be learning to do now if i was inclined.:)
  16. Hmmm. For the time being, I think I'll have to be a one-straight guy--might take longer to hit 100, but I've got a couple of fine Gillettes to shave with, so that'll take some of the sting out of it ;)
  17. Been reading and watching the vids. I'll probably start straight shaving in July.
  18. ok .you have the shavettes as well.trying to help you prep.old school straights are just that.you are responsible for all aspects.from edge maintenance to shave.good show..:)
  19. Thanks, Joseph.
Thank you, Clint. It is the knot from the T3.
