Thanks Tim! It is a nice looking shavette. It is sturdy and the blade doesn't move because of the locking mechanism. All this for approximately 16 dollars is a great value.
The Merry Mixed Up Month of May! May 23 Razor - Soviet Mladast Blade - Soap - Stirling Bay Rum Brush - @Jayaruh #230 Post - Alum It's Saturday night and all's well. We found some summer today as it hit 88 today for an official high. Going to do so again tomorrow and even hotter Monday with storms. Sounds like a typical Memorial Day weekend around here. No big plans. Work tomorrow, off Monday and back at it Tuesday. Some things never change. My evening shave was another repeat of the Mladast and Treet Platinum. I went with Stirling Bay Rum soap with the JR230 brush to provide the awesome lather. Three passes and the blade is still smooth and sharp and everything went well. Near-BBS and no blood and quiet alum. I call that a win! Have a great Sunday tomorrow!
Love this shave Joe. Stirling Spice is the bomb. It was one of the first Stirling soaps I purchased along with Pharaohs Dreamsicle.
Fantastic shave Neil. Love the Jayruh brush. Wish we had your weather. We have mid March, cool and wet in the low 50’s.
Thanks Joe! I rarely use it unless I have some social engagement or I want to pick myself up. It is an awesome scent that can be used all year round.
We made it to Minnesota. It was a smooth trip overall, and we are pretty much settled in. 12 hours door-to-door by way of the Iowa cornfields. It's spring time all over again here. I brought my Slim, a supply of Voskhod blades, my trusty 30 DC LE brush, and soaps include Mike's Lavender, Tabac, and a few specs of Eufros Wet Earth. Post shave will be alum, witch hazel, and USB. No fancy aftershaves or colognes on this trip. Been up nearly 20 hours so far (took awhile to get settled), so it is time to hit the hay. I hope you all had a fantastic day.
