Two passes and touch ups with the Wade & Butcher 5/8 gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Pharaoh's Dreamsicle AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

I honed the Leon Pelleray again. Started on shapton glass stone 4k, 8k and the naniwa super stone 12k. I finished on an ozuku with plain water. Now it was a joy to use. Shaving soap was vitos ice rosemary and Tüff sensitiv as.
I have one of those Pelleray ‘Le Precieux Suedois’ @esvh and they are great shavers. Yesterday and today were shaves 108 and 109 on the Filly 14 and today marks its one-year anniversary, it was honed on May 24th, 2019. Still not tugging and the edge is surprisingly good. Make no mistake, it isn’t what it was 100 shaves ago, but there’s nothing wrong with it either, still delivering DFS. The feel of the edge is basically unchanged since shave 35-40. This is a fine blade. Soap was Acca Kappa 1869 pre-reformulation lathered with a TOBS brush, and a little ABC balm finished up #109 in fine style.
Been hiding this H. Diamond #888 FBU in my razor roll for too long, so out she came today for a wonderful 2-pass shave with Haslinger Schafmilch (a soap I find very easy to face lather) and a Thäter 4125/2 handling the lathering work. I love the heft of this razor and the fine edge it takes. This blade makes a strong case for landing in my Top 5. OK, Top 7.
I’m never sure where to post shaves with a wedge razor. It’s very short straight blade that has to be honed and stropped but held in a device like a single edge. Guess I’ll just post in both places. The is the razor I use to clear away beards and thick stubble. The edge is one of @Billyfergie ’s best. Just cool, even with the scary point and heel. Definitely a pimp stick! Fresh out of the time machine. Is that new!
I got it late last year but I think the blade is 10 years old’ish. It has the “USA” stamp on the reverse tang and I think that dates it a while back.

Simmons Hardware 6/8 Hornet, ‘Warranted Satisfactory or No Sale’, same scales as Ian’s Torrey though they’re a scale swap, maybe from a Torrey. It’s a very thinly ground razor, and I’ve always said that whoever ground this one was good, and they were having a good day. Soap was a sample of Henri et Victoria La Poire Française (good springtime scent) lathered with a Rooney brush, and a little LOccitane balm and EdT finished up.
