  1. Thank you Joe.......as I said I was surprised at how much soap can be loaded from a 3.5 puck onto a big brush.
  2. That's three TOTWE shaves in a row, isn't it? Congrats!
    Epic, Joseph!
  3. Thanks, Joe!
  4. It is indeed, Jim....is a pattern forming???? :)
  5. Excellent shave with the most pleasant surprises are always an added bonus.
  6. sadly I only copyrighted it in Korea. You inspired me I’ll pull out my AOS tomorrow.
  7. Fabulous looking shave. Love the color of the brush handle.
  8. Fantastic shave and historical perspective on the AoS soap and vintage categorization. What matters the most is the “Wow” factor for you. I think you hit it with this shave.

    Razor: RenRen Shavette
    Blade: Perma-Sharp
    Lather: Long Rifle Hawkeye
    Aftershave: Floid Genuine
    Additional Care:
    Barbero Alum Block
Thayer's Witch Hazel - Aloe Vera
    Stirling Unscented Glacial Balm

So I decided to go with the Long Rifle soap again today due to my enjoyment with the shave yesterday and the fact that there was still some pressed into the Van Yulay bowl. Just could not let it just sit there.

The Whipped Dog boar did it’s usual fantastic job of producing a very nice lather. The brush was presoaked in an ice watered scuttle. Following the lathering process, the brushed returned to the scuttle to chill down the lather. I love how the initial chill feels when it hits my face. I can only imagine what a few drops of Terrorade, M-Bomb or Frost drops would do to this feeling. Food for thought. :Animatedfrozensmily:

I managed to complete my customary three pass shave without incident. No nicks, no weepers, no errors.
The Floid splash does a subtle menthol cool down with a fabulous scent that does take me back to my youth while seated in the barber’s chair. My favorite part of the process as a child, and still to date, is the straight razor clean up with the warm lather followed by the splash.
Of course, in my youth the barber would use a straight instead of the shavette. Progress, not so sure!

    Have a great day gentlemen.

A very nice, if somewhat rushed, 3 pass shave early this morning. Everything worked as it should, which given the quality of product was a very good thing.
    Have a great day all!

  12. Great shave and wonderful picture, Jason!
  13. Yes indeed, Joe....Thanks, and I'll take 'em.
  14. Awesome, Keith. I have said it many times, but man I love that Romera. It is easy to see that it inspired me for the meet up brush.
  15. Mother Nature got it dirty, let HER wash it!
  16. Love the B&W, Jim. What do you think of the H&V triple milled version? It is about the softest triple milled I've ever seen. Good to see that H&V is back to an alcohol-based splash as well. So many Canadian artisans don't bother because it affects their ability to ship it internationally.

  19. Extremely nice looking shave Jason.
  20. The Valobra is a quality lather, no question. Sounds like their scents for others are maybe a little more highly regarded than their own. My Valobra Fougere just wasn't a memorable scent, nor was it nearly as strongly scented as yours, iirc.
