    Great shave, Tim!
The weather sounds rough. I'm not looking forward to summer temps.

    Budget Shave

Good evening guys, I promised tonight would be my most inexpensive shave in my den

    Shavette Shave #162
    Parker SRB $16.00
    Rockwell 1/2 DE Blade (4) $0.00
    Barbury Synthetic Brush $8.00
    Razorock Classic Shave Soap $4.00
    Pinaud/Clubman Classic AS $8.00
    Nivea ASB $8.00

    Total $44.00 ☆☆without Nivea ASB $36.00

Today, I just wanted to share my most inexpensive setup and illustrate that I can get a nice smooth comfortable shave.

The Barbury synthetic is my least favorite brush. It has too much backbone for a synthetic, but it does a nice job. Razorock Classic has that nice almond/cherry scent and it makes a nice lather. 2.5 passes gave me an IBSS+ on a 32 hr growth. There wasn't any blood or irritation so it was a nice, close comfortable shave. Applied the Clubman and there was very little feedback. Finished the shave with the Nivea ASB to moisturize my skin. This was a lovely shave.Tomorrow is a no shave. I believe that I will bring out the Thiers-Issard 6/8 for Thursday's shave. Have a great day guys!

Great progress reports Tim! Nice. 104 leading to 107....sounds like our July/August here in North Texas.

    Wonderful news Jeff!

Most of the scented mutton tallow soaps have strong scents that cover up the raw deal. I got a tub of the unscented, which has a smell of its own. I didn't think it would bother me, but it does a little. Fr now on it will be my homemade Glacial Piacenza Sheep.

For last year's Mayhem I used a Fusion. I had to choose between kind of close and lots of irritation or not close at all and no irritation. I was suprised that I could not get the shave as close as I get with traditional tools.

Wednesday Shave: In the morning haze I forgot that I wanted to use my tallow AoS, once the fog cleared I realized that I already bloomed the CK-6 so that is what I went with. The more I use this soap the more I like it, works great in my water. The Brian Brown 6/8 full hollow is sporting and excellent edge and the shave was excellent.

Gorgeous kit and great report, Keith! A lot of folks like that CROWN King soap base. I donkt own any PAA soaps. I rely on MWF and Nancy Boy these days. None of my other soaps compare in terms of richness of lather. The closest contenders are MdC and Pannacrema Nuavia Blu.
