I never get too serious Joe .... but when I do I head for the cutlery drawer and stare at the butterknife section.
Can I use a gifted razor or does it have to one I purchased?

Two years ago, this shave would have qualified for a Mayhem shave.
    Today, not so much.
Once again, I opted for a luscious lather using Art of Shaving tallow Lemon.
The scent was never overpowering, and still
    remains.
Yesterday I bowl-lathered, today, straight to the face.
I really enjoy stroking my beard area with the Simpson Manchurian.
    Shiny and slick lather extraordinaire.
The Boker got a thorough pre-shave stropping and sports a very keen edge.
3 passes and excellent, smooth results.
    The post-shave products are ultra-hydrating.
Not pictured, because of a last-minute addition:
    Pierre Cardin.

Me too, Tim! I hear there’s a 4-5 month backup at RE. I know, Matt, from the Shave Collectibles Mtg in Cincinnati last October. If I don’t hear back in a few weeks, I’ll give him a call.

After my post referencing the Feather carts, I did some research and decided it is not worth a pursuit. I just have plenty enough stuff now to be contented.

Next time I order blades from Maggards, I might buy a couple of the single bladed Gillette Guard. They are cheap and I remember reading about a fine gentleman with a medical condition who said they worked well.

I think the cartridge is the same as the Treo but without the shave lube dispenser handle. I've seen the Treo in grocery store. It is marketed as a tool for caregivers to use on their patients.

I have 4 HC brushes, no problems with 3 of them. At least, I should say, I have 4 currently, thinking of BST'ing at least 1, if not 2 of them. The colors are not quite what was expected.

The green/black Klenzo split in half at the seam during the 2nd or 3rd use. It was easily apparent that the glue was very light between the layers, barely looked like a 3 or 4 mm dot application with a tail. Obvious space between the layers where there wasn't glue. No more problem after a good dose of super glue gel though. This brush was $100 delivered ($45 handle, $40 HMW Gel Tip, $5 shipping).

Omega EVO. I have two. One was $57 delivered, the other was $40 delivered (BST).

Tim, I was going to be the first man in my family not to serve. The draft said otherwise. My great grandfather was a German veteran of the Franco-Prussian war. When he brought his family over in the late 1880s, he enlisted in the Marines and served in the Spanish-American War in the Philippines. His son(my paternal grandfather) was a Marine and served with Sergeant Dan Daly as a machine gunner at Belleau Wood. My grandfather had three sons, of which my father was the only one to join the Navy. My two uncles were marines, and all three served in the Pacific theater From Iwo Jima through The surrender. My father made it through the war unscathed, but both of my uncles were badly wounded and retired medically. My Uncle Bert at Tarawa and my Uncle Tom at Okinawa. My father retired from the Navy in 1973 after 35 years service.

Great shave, Joe! I’m of the mind that there is no season for certain software. I shave year round with menthol soaps and AS. One should shave with anything they like at any time they like! That’s my opinion and I’m sticking to it!
