Thanks! The brush is indeed really great and use it 95% in my den :). Got some other sotd-pics on this website with this brush. It is not too expensive and got similar qualities as badgers (eventhough I realize it of course will never BE a badger)

Beautiful shaves over the last week, carried on with using the grooming dept credance, fast becoming one of my favourite soaps. I know it was cancelled because many people didnt like the scent of the puck before lathering, but the performance is absolutely out of this world, definitely going to have to try some of their other soaps, maybe a few PAA soaps or Stirling if only i could get my hands on any of those lol.

I tend to be a big fan of the tallow based soaps, so i also love the uncle jons pipe smoke puck i have, maybe i should add that to the winter rotation too.

    Another hot and humid day.
Showered with coconut soap, shampoo, and conditioner.
    Shave secret pre shave oil.
    Masters vanishing menthol shave cream.
    Simpson M7 in best.
    Q shave scuttle.
    Merkur 1904 Open Comb.
    Shark chrome blade.
    T.N. Dickinson witch hazel.
    Gabels Bay Rum.
The ‘pure’, ‘simple’, Caribbean, Bay Rums (read: no cinnamon!) just pairs perfectly
with coconut. Bay Rums by nature don’t last too long, but in the thick, humid air
it sticks around nicely. With a cold Cuba Libre, and a nice Partaga, it’s perfect for the ‘situation’.

An emotional start to the day: Will Carini presented an AC and a 275 NART:
not many the convertibles I like. I prefer FHC's.
But these were splendid: together with the Morgan and the XK 120 and 140 are really exciting.
On the other hand, if you are so poor that you can't spend 20KK USD, you can't hope for it.
I'll try to like the Trabbies!

Luckily I don't have to give up razors because the ones I want are much cheaper. But, I have most of the ones I really love!
Especially this one I used today that's not even vintage. It's a little efficient machine, though, heavy and well-balanced which, almost, made me change my mind about the blade! Almost...

Two passes and a gummy, smooth face...
    I'm very pleased!

    Cold Water Rinse
    Palmolive Shaving Cream
    Ever-Ready C-40
    Ever-Ready 1914
    GEM Blue Star SE
    CWR
    Pinaud Lilac Vegetal AS

The Palmolive Shaving Cream face-lathered well with my Ever-Ready C-40 Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Ever-Ready 1914 Razor with a GEM Blue Star SE blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Pinaud Lilac Vegetal AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

    Thursday morning’s Grand Freeze:

    Neutrogena Men Facial Wash
    Razorock Plissoft 26mm Monster
    Super Speed/Derby day 6
Bundubeard African Potato X 3 SS
    Gold Bond Moisturizer
    Fine Snake Bite AS Splash
    Bleu de Chanel EdP

Not only did I get two boatloads of intensely cold menthol, I shaved today with cold water because it’s so bloody hot here and I wanted to do a little experiment. Jaco’s African Potato is such a great soap - the scent is absolutely gorgeous, it delivered tons of thick, rich, super slick lather, and the menthol sensation felt borderline painful. (in a delightful way, of course!) The Gold Bond moisturizer is nicely mentholated also and it’s so good as a balm. The Snake Bite aftershave is practically unscented and it’s another menthol atom bomb. Do I ever the Bleu de Chanel and so does Madame. Three passes gave me a brilliant BBS shave!

    Be safe and healthy!
