  1. Terry! Great to hear from you again :D

I really like the Focus shavette. Great, consistent performer (as is the MMOC). Honestly, if I was stuck on an island with only those two shavers, I'd consider myself pretty fortunate. :)
  2. Great to hear from you, Evan--and fantastic news about the VAS! I really like Feathers, but so many other blades give comparable results for me for less money; however, stretching a Feather out to 22 shaves makes them significantly more economical. Sounds like two wins this month: self-made razor and VAS stropping success. May has been very good to you, sir! :D

  3. Thanks Tim...I've always found can cream to be thick enough to do just the one. Touchups, if needed, of course.
  4. Terry...nice to see you back where you belong (nyuk yuk)...Is everything OK?

Another nice shave earlier this morning. This razor and blade really are top notch. Hopefully I'll be able to find some time today to properly respond to the excellent posts on here.
    Have a great day all!

    Good morning guys!
Today's shave hits a significant number. It is open blade shave #333. 333 is a symbolic number in the Christian faith. The breakdown is 171 straight shaves and 162 shavette shaves.

    Straight razor shave #171
    Theirs-Issard Spartacus 6/8 Roundpoint
    Jayaruh #290 Synthetic Brush
    Proraso Green SS and AS

I woke up groggy this morning so I chose to get a menthol hit with Proraso. It lathers very easily and the scent is always clean and fresh. The JR 290 did a great job to give me a peaky, voluminous, slick Proraso lather. On a 39 hr growth, the Spartacus only needed 2 passes without any touchups to give me an error-free BBS- shave. Splashed on the awesome aftershave to end the shave. Have a nice day guys! 20200528_095643.jpg 20200528_095643.jpg
