I assume you are relatively new to headshaving. As a 12 yr headshaving veteran, I will suggest that you really know the contours of the back of your head, especially, the lower end of it. Also, you need to map how your hair grows just as you do your face so that you will lessen irritation and cuts. The hair on your head is more coarser than facial hair. Therefore, you need to really hydrate your lather so the blade really cuts the hair smoothly. After 2 passes, feel where you missed and hit it with the razor. I just gave you the basics on getting a good headshave, but there are more nuances and I am sure you will figure them out with the more headshaves under your belt. Good luck!

    Razor: Tuckmarr 5/8” Maccassar scales
    Brush: Jayaruh 329 Boar
    Lather: FuzzyFace Soaps Bonsai
    Aftershave: Floid Genuine
    Additional Care:
    Barbero Alum Block
    Stonefield North of Fifty Balm
Thayer's Witch Hazel - Aloe Vera

It is finally starting to have that warm late spring feel around here. I know it is short lived as it gets cooler by Sunday. Mid afternoon post, due to being busy with all this distance learning. Only two and a half weeks to go.

Bonsai is the perfect shave for this type of weather. Cool this morning, so a green type scent works very well.

Wonderful three pass shave with the Tuckmarr. Extremely close shave with a minimal weeper in a usually troublesome spot.

The Floid aftershave is a nice classic scent with a menthol tinge that does not blow your face off but is subtly noticeable. The Stonefield balm easily transports you into an early spring pine forest.

Tomorrow it is back to Reuction Weekend # 8 with the Stache Soapworks E Barber as I strive to chip away at the soap software in the den.

I am not sure what the 30 DC theme will be but I am leaning towards a Double Up scenario. My logic involves a zodiac sign of Gemini, since it’s appearance occurs for most of the month of June. Thus, I plan on shaving with the same soap and splash two days in a row for the entire month of June.

    what do you think gentlemen?

Congrats on the continued progress. A lot of the improvement is muscle memory with the big help improvement of your technique. The results will continue to improve with less thought involved.

Today was much better than yesterday. Much less stress and drama at work helped. I was able to get done with what had to be done early enough to call it a day. The shave this morning was another excellent 3 pass BBS shave. I did manage to nick myself while thinking about the day ahead. :angry032: I really need to learn to focus better. ;) The soap continues to disappear rapidly. @primo I am not sure I will make the over/under of 7 shaves. I hope everyone has a Fantastic Friday.

Beautiful picture, Clint! So glad to hear today was better.
I keep thinking about picking one soap and sticking with it just so I can see an empty tub first hand.
