Saturday morning: Neutrogena Men Facial Wash Razorock Plissoft 26mm Monster Super Speed/new Derby Brutalt Bra SS Bull Dog Moisturizer Max Disinfecting AS Splash Bleu de Chanel EdP It’s been a long time since I used this Brutalt Bra soap and I’m really happy that I went with it today. It’s made in Norway and it’s got a mild but very nice lavender scent as well as rich, slick lather, and excellent skincare. The only fly in the ointment is the price I paid - to me 25$ is way too much for such a small container. The Bull Dog moisturizer did a great job as a balm, and the Max Disinfecting aftershave stung me like hell for a second or two but then it felt wonderful. Just a nice shower with my lavender-mint shea butter soap, and Rose of Sharon Acres shampoo bar. Then I touched up my legs with the electric. It does not irritate at all, but is not as close as a wet shave. Still, it’s fine in between, on a day that’s warm enough for shorts.
I'm not known as a fan but this '49 Milord arrived in my recent lot acquisition and I shave with everything I got. Too mild for my taste but more efficient than I anticipated. More pick ups from the Enders than I like but if I didn't shave my head I could see this be a razor I could go to occasionally. Build on this example is superb, doors perfectly aligned. SOTD, Sat May30th, 2020 Razor: Gem Micromatic open comb or MMOC- Mfg 1930-41, the razor that helped Gem pull through during the dirty thirties. One of best razors Gem made IMO and was revolutionary for its time with the first Twist to open(TTO) ever. Blade: Gem Personna SS PTFE (10) great all around blade, sharpness, longevity and smooths out during its life cycle nicely. Soap: Tabac- great soap that lasts & lasts........triple milled with a mild floral scent with great lather qualities. Brush: Yaqi tuxedo knot 24mm with black marble handle, excellent brush that splays,scrubs,soft tips &paints well. Pre-shave:Brush wash my whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser+ a dollop of clear Aloe Vera gel on beard area. Prep: cold water rinse after each pass of 3 + pickups. Post shave: Razorock King Louis Lavender aftershave with witch Hazel + a small dollop of Nivea balm. Results: CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers = excellent shave with my Gem Micromatic razor today. Have some great shaves!
