  1. Thank you, sir. Yes, I love SMN. RazoRock's SMdF introduced me to them a long time ago. Whenever I enjoy an artisan's homage to an established product, I make it a point to seek out the original. In this case, I'm so glad I did. I've had the cream and the Tabacco Toscano EdC for a long time, but I only recently acquired the aftershave to complete the set. It's a beautiful product!

  3. Yesterday’s shave with the big Kropp. This is a heavy razor and gave a great shave. Somehow though, even while paying attention, I managed to get two small nicks on the chin - didn’t even notice it until they were flowing red. :shocked003:

  8. Thanks Gary. It was an enjoyable shave this morning. I can't get enough of Clubman. Simple but one of my absolute favorites.

  9. I am brother and I do. After about 2 weeks, I felt pretty comfortable and less awkward using it. It is like a kid learning to catch a hard ball. They start out a bit afraid of the ball and handle their glove a bit clumsy, getting hit a few times, twisting their arm in funny positions to avoid the ball. Then they build confidence, respect the ball but use better form and are no longer afraid to use proper techniques. Same thing here for me. At about 30 shaves, BBS shaves were the norm with no over shaving skin irritation/razor burn but some slow weepers. By 40 shaves, I was firing on all cylinders with excellent shaves all around with no weepers. Last week was perfect. I really like using a straight and although I miss my DE's/SE's, I think I will switch back soon having reached my goal of being proficient. I will be going back to the office and will be looking to reduce the time to shave, probably keeping straights for the weekends. It has been a great journey that I encourage anyone to try if interested. It is very satisfying learning old school methods. For me there is something primal and manly using a straight that is hard to explain but enjoyable.
