May 31, 2020 Rex Ambassador Gillette 7 O’clock Black Omega Evo Synthetic A&E L’Orange Verte Shave Soap & Aftershave A early morning shave with an early evening post. I went to visit my mom today. I took her lunch and we had a wonderful picnic just off her patio under the water oaks. It was nice to spend the afternoon with here even while practicing social distancing. How I will love it when those words are no longer used. Anyway onto the shave report. I pulled out the A&E L'Orange Verte for today's shave. The scent and performance of the soap make it a joy to use. Three passes with the RA and touch ups let the baby escape. I managed to miss a small spot on my jawline. Oh well there is always tomorrow. I hope everyone had a wonderful Sunday. May 2020 Recap In my continuing effort to use up some soaps and creams, I managed to have a little success this month. The B&M Bay Rum is dusted and gone. During the month, I managed to use some razors and brushes that have been neglected. As always the best part of the month was participating in the thread. It has been nice seeing some veteran members make huge leaps forward as well as welcoming some new members aboard. The friendship and fellowship exhibited daily on this thread serve as an inspiration, even more so during times like these. I look forward to participating next month.
Thanks Clint! At least I know that I can set a bevel and get a razor to shave ready. I will find out more about this edge when I shave tomorrow night.
Great post. Love the recap. What did you assemble you pix in. [software]? Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
Great recap of your awesome shaves Clint! It's nice that you are able to spend some quality time with your mother.
Awesome report and recap on the month, Clint! Glad you are still able to visit your mom (even if with the limitations) Beautiful photos this month and and some spectacular gear
Thanks Gary! Hope your Sunday is going great too! Thinks Jim! I like them obviously. They do work well with the FHS. You should give it a try at least once. Thanks Tim! I'm glad your shavette journey is going so well. Thanks Joe! I'm enjoying life. I hope you're doing the same. Thanks Clint! I was completely surprised it went as well as it did. I looked at the carbon steel blades when you mentioned them before. They are out there. Honestly I was trying to push some MAYhem but it ended up being no big deal. No painful shaves this month. Well the hunting knife sucked but expectations were low so it still exceeded them. I'm hoping to keep up better in June. Lots of great conversation on here.
Today turned into a no shave day....just a bunch of yard work, and baby sitting the BGE. Pulled pork and chicken taco meat smoking.... Couple more hours....
