  1. Well, yes, I don't care for the scent...that is, unless it is balanced off by other scents. I can handle a LITTLE of it. If I'm dating a woman who I like a lot(and she likes me a lot), and she suddenly blurts out that she loves the clove scent on her man, well, it may be time for some mutual communication....see if we can meet halfway on that subject.
  2. It's been a nice day thanks Gary.
  3. IMO, I wouldn't dump my perfect match over "clove". Just sayin'. Now, Arko, mos def©. :happy097:
  4. Well, that's what I'm talkinabout. She might dump ME over my issue with it. As for Arko, I was PIFed it, and it's a scent I just can't get used to.
  5. The FireBoard system was a semi Father’s Day present the year I bought the BGE. It really helps with the low temp cooking (sub 250 degrees). It’s spectacularly easy to get the BGE hot, but for me, really requires some attention the first hour of smoking to keep the thing from getting too hot (cause it is very hard to cool down) without just lifting the lid. I must build fires too well.... Probably should have gotten an offset smoker/grill combo, but then it’d be hard to do temps above 500 like for pizzas. And...I’m too stubborn to get one of those fan systems for the BGE. Small compromise, but the BGE is a great cooker all in all.

May is in the can, ladies and germs.
    We frolicked and made merry.
My final shave of the month was a lavender one.
The AoS is another spectacular product and the lather was très bien.

The Russian played nicely with the Canadian and achieved détente.
The Milk Maid from the Isle of Man catered to my every whim.
The noble Brit completed the shave in smashing style.
It's nice when everyone plays nicely in the sandbox.
  7. I think I made the comment earlier that Lavender began as a masculine scent only.

  8. Great shave and recap summary, Clint! See you next month!

  9. If and when I get a covered patio or deck, I am going to get the electronic controls and fan for the BGE. That way I can sit with an adult beverage and have it text me when the meats done.
  10. Entertaining shave summary with the usual stellar kit. Hope your Sunday went well, Maestro!

  11. Fantastic shave lineup Primo. I have AOS Lavender on deck for later this week. I found it neglected in the back of the cabinet.

  16. Thanks, Blair! I really am enjoying the Supply, and am curious to see how many shaves I can get out of the modified Feather Super.

  17. I don't see the June thread open yet. We're behind. Most months the new thread has 100 posts by now.

Is June "Basics Month" again? I do need to shave with my Walgreens Gillette but I may have to supplement with a few vintage, artisen, and homemade items this month. I just spent a month on limited hardware. My other gear is feeling neglected.
  18. The June thread is open.

  19. That's great news Clint! On Long Island we are in the Phase 1 and NYC just began Phase 1. Hopefully, LI will be in Phase 2 soon and I guess Phase 3 will be sometime near the end of June. What a shame that we still have to deal with this crap probably through July 4th. That would be 2 federal holidays ruined by these politicians. Thankfully, your Gov. Brian Kemp is reasonable, unlike my Gov. Cuomo.
  20. thank you Joseph..
