    Thank you, Patrick....but it makes me go into real "budget mode" on what my Bill Neumann purchase will be. One thing's for sure-it'll be the Heartwood.

    Thanks Keith! Surprisingly, I didn't have a problem with shaving my stache. I thought that I would have a tough time doing the N to S pass, but I was fine In fact, the barber's notch made the Fool's Pass very easy. The main difference was that this ultra huge blade is not rectangular so that I had to turn my head more sideways to get a better visual clearance shaving the cheeks. The point is not spiked so I don't have to worry about poking myself. The razor is beautifully balanced so that it is quite comfortable in the hand. It also helps that it is a half hollow grind. If this was wedge, then this really would be a hefty blade. Also, I found stropping this razor much easier compared to some of my other straights. I will use it tomorrow and Friday to see how it shaves on a 40 + hr growth and to really get a good feel for it. Again, your collection and the unexpected financial windfall from the government inspired me to purchase this blade.

    Beautiful budget shave Jim! I know Arko gets mixed reviews, but from what I have read it does produce a nice lather. I like their cartoonish logo.
