Very nice all around basics shave Andrew! Love the avatar BTW....that was a top choice of mine right up til I found the one I have (as I'm a rabid Peanuts memorabilia fan).
Very nice Bill! Interesting razor, great report! Lovely everything Jason! Making me rethink my 'Tobacco Thursday' into a barbershop theme...choices, choices.
Super nice Joe! That blade looks like it's got a mirror polish on it, cool. Gorgeous brush Gary! Wow, that pops! Great setup and shave. I really like that Simpson shave cream too. And....your and Jim's shipping delays/issues from Simpson, just weird. I placed two orders with them, both here within 5 days. No 'shipped' email, no tracking number, no correspondence whatsoever after the order. In fact....both orders still show 'open' on their website.
Thank you Blair! Yes the blade has a mirror finish. If I have the camera on an angle, then it is not evident. I try to take the shot without the reflection of the phone to get an unobstructed view of the mirror polish, but it is impossible for me do do so. The lighting is right above the vanity and even if I place a towel over the light, then I still can not get a good shot.
Yes, I'm doing a 30-day (or longer) focus in the kitchen. I'm getting some hands-on coaching here due to my lack of ability and/or speed. Using a shavette is easier. No shave today, but my travel gear (including Tabac - the manly stuff) is on tap for tomorrow. @Bama Samurai - Hammy on wrist. Today was a much-needed rest day. We have a few (relatively easy) appointments tomorrow, another (mostly) off-day on Friday, chemo on Saturday, and the transplant (hereafter known as Day 0 & my Bride's new birthday) on Monday. At that point, we'll have daily monitoring until we are cleared to come home. We're already planning to return on Day 60 for the first check-up. We got out for a walk this morning, and Kathy found our summer home. Best we can tell, it is move-in ready. There is no Piggly Wiggly in town, so it's currently a buyer's market.
You and your bride are so upbeat, Charlie. I love it! Thoughts and prayers from Lisa and I. Give Kathy a hug for us. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
Thanks, Blair! Williams Wednesday naturally fits right into this month's theme. I have always loved the scene in Crocodile Dundee as he puts away the Superspeed to pull out "The Knife" when Sue walks up. Peanuts has always been great to cheer up my day too.
Thanks, Blair. I missed 'Tobacco Tuesday' this week, so you've inspired me to switch my plan tomorrow to be Tobacco Thursday if you are going with a Barbershop theme.
