Gemini Shave Month (Twin shaves-same set up two days in a row).

    Rating: 5 / 5

    Razor: Razor Retro Shavette
    Blade: Univinlions
    Brush: Jack Skully
Lather: Santa Fe Soap Ranch Redwood Vetiver
    Aftershave: Aqua Velva Musk
    Additional Care:
    Barbero Alum Block
Thayer's Witch Hazel - Aloe Vera
    Stirling Unscented Glacial Balm
Hope you all are having a wonderful morning. Today’s shave meets this month’s theme for a basic shave plus my self imposed theme of the Gemini.

My first introduction to the Santa Fe Soap Ranch shaving soap was 6 years ago while visiting New Mexico for my niece’s wedding. I found it in a farmer’s market. My first soap was the Tobacco Caramel. The current soap, the Redwood Vetiver is a soap with a subtle Vetiver scent. It provides a nice, thick lather that offers a slick surface for the blade to pass over. This is especially appreciated when using a shavette. This soap is an economical hard soap which I grated into a mug. A little water to bloom while in the shower set up the ease of loading.

The Razor Retro shavette, a feather AC type razor, found on Aliexpress, delivered a clean and comfortable three pass shave without any incident. The alum block pass over confirmation of no heat is an added bonus.

The WH, AV M and SGB put a nice finishing touch on a great shave. Feeling and smelling great to get on with my day. Have a fabulous Friday gentlemen.

  10. Apologies to all! We lost power for two days in the wake of some powerful thunderstorms. I’ll be posting my shave later!
