Excellent photo and post Joseph. Now you have me looking at buying another soap I don't need.

    Wonderful, Andrew! Love the brush!
    Thank you, Jeff!
My skin is too sensitive for two three passes shaves within eight hours of one another.

The first and second generation of Simpson CH2 synthetic brushes were labeled Synthetic Badger. The first generation had the knot set very deep. The second generation had the knot set at the same height as the current brushes. I really don't notice any difference with the name change from synthetic badger to synthetic bristle. This CH2 is the most dense of all my CH2 synthetic brushes. But side by side, I do notice small variations in density and loft.

Yeah, I had to quit looking at the Friday drops. Everytime I did I ended up with another brush.

It is my understanding that the Gem Damaskeene came after the Gem Lather Catcher razors and before the 1912s. The Damaskeene does not have as much blade exposure as the 1912s. The other big difference is the Damaskeene has a different size thread on the handle than all other Gem razors. Again I am no expert but it is my understanding that the Damaskeene blades shipped with the razor could be stropped and resharpened. I have seen photos of advertisement saying to mail the blades in exchange for ones that had been resharpened.

I have this cased set Damaskeene SB razor and a Damaskeene OC razor. Between the two the OC is rarer. My OC looked awful and I had it replated. The cased Damaskeene SB razor looks better than the newly replated OC.

That's a good idea Joe....I could just scrape aany excess Aqua Velva off the sink and get it onto the collar.
You're right Jeff.....that one means the absolute best.

Another excellent shave report and bit of enabling. You have me looking at the Chel Cooling Gel.

    Simply and elegant shave Gary.

Fantastic shave and photo Andrew. After yesterday's monsoon, its nice to get some sunshine today.

    Fantastic and cool shave Jeff!
    Superb shave Gary!
Awesome shave Andrew! I have the RR Classic and XX soaps and they perform well. Unfortunately, the XX doesn't have much of a scent, but the classic has a nice almond/cherry frag.

I love the Supply razor. I thought I was almost out of Proline injector blades, so I ordered a case of them on eBay. Looking in the shave cabinet this morning I discovered 2 packs I bought from Andrew. With over 220 Proline blades, I think you'll be seeing a lot of SOTD photos with my Supply razors.

Thank you, Joe! Razorock products are a great bang for the buck. The XXX is supposed to have an AdP Colonia scent. I'll have to take their word for it.

Stirling's Piacenza SS is also a dupe for AdP Colonia. When I bought it, the scent was wonderful, but now the scent is almost nonexistent.
