  1. Just the Basics June

    Sunday's Shave

    AutoStrop B1
    GEM Stainless PTFE (3)
    WCS Beacon Synthetic
    Old Spice Lather Shaving Cream
    Old Spice Classic Aftershave

Smooth two passes for a DFS today. The AutoStrop B1 is a fantastic shaver. It's very mild and has a large sweet spot for the shaving angle. The Old Spice face lathered great in the WCS brush -it was the first synthetic brush I ever bought. Finished off with some Old Spice Classic and I am feeling nicely spiced this Sunday...

  6. Excellent Old Spice Shave Andrew.
  7. thank you Jason,i was careful to shop for the good pucks .i have 3 lime and 1 morocan myrrh.as for the belmont ,yes the bottom knob stays in place like a brit rfb.i had a mint gold set that is even rarer ,but i chose to trade it back for the mint gold rocket set .the gold one didn't shave any differently and i prefered the silver one.these were only produced in small #s in 1935 i believe, then the brit aristocrats took over in 1936..
  8. I have my first Auto B2 in Tybee as well.
Great shave, Andrew! Your B1 is in amazing condition, given its age! I’ve really fallen for my VC4. All my Auto Strops shave well, but this one is in a class by itself. Gaisman, then Gillette Chairman, apparently insisted before shutting down his former company, then (1941) a Gillette Division, that he wanted a “safety razor of safety razors”. This razor is a really great shaver, effortless BBS with no alum heat every time.
  9. fine sunday shave Andrew..
  10. have you tried the vc3? only difference is open comb instead of safety bar..on my list when i find a clean cheap one.still marked gillette as well.
  11. Good morning Gary. We start back on the roof tomorrow again. Laying all new plywood , etc . Its a big job. Ugh. But at least it will be one more thing off our minds .
  12. Quick head and face shave then off to visit my mom . Check in later !
