J.A. Henckels Wotan, gem stainless ptfe blade, shave 4
    wotan.jpg

Having used a Henckels Twinworks Rapide before I expected this razor to be similar since they are the same razor head design. Well it is hard to say since I wasn't able to get a shallower angle because of the rear blade stop. I'll probably bend it to fix that so you can take the razor at an almost ride the blade side angle at some point. With that said razor is fairly aggressive in feel but not bite as long as you are mindful of how much pressure you apply. For all the blade feel this razor didn't shave me any closer than the Gem Push Button. With that said there should be some perfomance gains to be had with some runs on this razor to dial in the angle better.

A second Shave with this Hawk, and very nice too as feels as though I have been using it forever. Very smooth and comfortable, and troubles encountered on the way to getting a nice close all round finish. Looks as though this could be an excellent Daily Shaver for those who do not do rotation. Edges on Knurling a bit sharp needs a bit of attention, otherwise handle very good in terms of grip and length.

The Proraso Sandalwood Shave Soap face-lathered well with my Jayaruh #340 Badger Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Ever-Ready Lather Catcher with a GEM Blue Star SE blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Cella ASB. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Sunday Schick shave, June 7th 2020, I was reading a thread were one of the fellows when using a DE adjustable razor starts off at a low setting and then graduates up the dial. Well I have been using his method for some time and today for the first time tried it on my Schick injector M3. His thought was as the stubble gets smaller is harder to cut off so by increasing blade exposure you give the blade a better response to hitting the stubble. No science, just good old opinionated shaving theories. [IMG]

Razor: Schick adjustable injector Model or M3- Mfg 1970-72, Dialed up 3,4,5,after each pass, excellent shave.
Blade: Personna SS PTFE (10)Excellent blade- I just like to use Personna blades in my single edge razors.
Soap : Nivea cream original - I use it with other soaps sometimes in my mixing bowl, nice scent, ok lather qualities.
Brush: Yaqi brown whiskers 26mm (Mew)- very enjoyable brush to use.
Pre-shave: Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser + a small dollop of Aloe Vera gel on beard area.
Prep: cold water after each pass of 3 + any pickups.
Post shave: Nivea refreshing aftershave + witch Hazel + Nivea sensitive balm. Great products IMO.
Results: CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers=[IMG] excellent shave with my Schick injector adjustable M3.

GEMonday today- took out my first NOS Gem 1912, Still shaves great like the day I bought it.

Razor : Gem 1912 model- Mfg in 1921 during the roaring 1920's when electrical appliances were just starting to be MFG for the citizens of world on a large scale which fueled those boom times.
Blade: Gem Personna SS PTFE (4) great blade for sharpness, longevity, cost and smooths out during its life cycle IMO.
Soap: Razorock Santa Maria del Fiore- excellent scent and great lather qualities.
Brush: Yaqi Tuxedo knot 24mm with the black marble handle- one of my favorites, reasonable back bone with soft tips.
Pre shave: Showered, brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser, A dollop of Aloe Vera gel on beard area.
Prep: cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups.
Post : AVON true gent cologne with witch Hazel + AVON true gent balm [IMG] .

Tonight's shave was very enjoyable. I loaded a 5th use Gem SS PTFE and lathered up the Mer Shavings Barbershop with a synthetic brush. Everything lined up for a very close very comfortable shave.

    Arko Stick -grated
RR S/S Hawk V3-A, Super Knurl Handle
    Schick Proline [ 4 ]

Missed a Shave report yesterday, but used The Hawk as I did today. It is so well balanced that one feels very au fait with it,and Shaves are very smooth and comfortable, and a good close all round finish is attained without any problems.
