Hope the roof is going well, Patrick! I trust you had a nice visit as well.
    Booster Polar Ice has alcohol.
    Stunning, Gary! Congrats.
A great week of shaves, Tim. I haven’t tied a tie in 8 weeks. Probably this week, though....
Glad to hear the soap is working well, Keith. Didn’t get the iconic ceramic dish? Hedged your bet perhaps...
    Then stop fighting...:)
  3. Tim, not a total loss. My wife keeps telling me my soaps have to go on birth control. Over the last three years I have tried 120 soaps. Of some where one and done, due to pass arounds. However, I believe I have About 50 that are currently in my den split evenly between large jars and sample sizes. Then of course add the aftershaves for most. Again some are sample sizes of Stirling.
  4. Great shave Keith! Glad the MWF worked put for you!

  12. Thanks Jim!

Maybe @jtspartan could give you the right answer as I got it from him and I believe he said it was alcohol free.

Thanks Jeff! I have a brass one also missing a blade stop. Taking it to a jeweler I know to see if he can build up a new stop. Other than the stop its mint.

  15. Great choice of gear Keith!!

Rained all weekend so its back to the roof tomorrow. Was so nice to see Mom today, shes 89 and failing some lately again.
Maybe it was the Kootenay blue that was alcohol free then. I thought you said one of them you sent was . The Boosters leaves my face in a happy place and the scent is amazing.
  16. Just the Basics June!

    June 7

    Razor - CJB Kamisori
    Blade - artist-club-small-professional-blades.jpg
    Soap - Fine Italian Citrus
    Brush - The Canuck
    Post - Alum

It's Sunday which is my usual head shave day on the weeks I decide to do it. Well, tonight was one of those nights. Trying to think basic and having a couple weeks growth up there, I decided my most basic pain stick would do the trick. The CJB Greager. What makes it more basic than my Feather DX, SS or Kai Captain? Not much, really except the materials that it is made of and the nice inexpensive price tag. Uses the same Feather Pro blades I almost always use in the pain stick boys, so no difference there. One difference, though, was my decision to use it for my face shave as well.

For the head shave I used the VDH Boar brush and Arko for the soap. For my face shave I went with the Fine Italian Citrus and Canuck brush. Both head and face shaves went flawlessly with the CJB and I ended with a chromed dome and a near-BBS below the dome. Great time shaving my entire head with the same pain stick. Fun stuff too! Alum was amazingly quiet on my face and neck. No, I didn't use it on my head.

Another week lies ahead of us and I hope it's a great second week of June for everyone! Hang in there - it can only get better, right? (I know, it's 2020....duck and cover) Have a magnificent Monday!

    How's the fishing?

    (34.4C for my Canadian brothers.)
  18. Those head shaves feel awesome dont they? Nice shaves and have a great Monday Neal!!
  19. And since we're on Canada...

I used the @jtspartan Custom Canadian Maple Tuxedo, whilst live and in "colour" on a Zoom thing.
