Stirling 316L HA (Hyper Aggressive) Prototype Razor & Gillette 7 O’Clock SP’s RR 24mm Plissoft Stirling Hipster Soap Stirling Hipster after shave splash RL Polo Deep Blue Parfum Now that was a super efficient shave. 2 weepers on the chin and just a bit of sting around Sir Adam From the alum pass but, other than that it was an awesome shave. This razor is for those that like Ikon Tech, Muhle R41 and razors with a reputation of blade feel and uber efficiency. Smoother than the I-Tech and equally as a efficient. If you like a 2 pass shave, this is your huckleberry. Great day and shaves to all....

I totally forgot to post it yesterday in advance. I got two cuts that weren't really anything to gawk at, but they liked to bleed like they were two whiny little cuts. I used the styptic pencil on them and they shut up.

Just the Basics June! June 8 Razor - CJB Kamisori Blade - Soap - Stirling Iced Coffee Brush - Jayaruh #46 Post - Alum MENTHOL MONDAY! Stayed basic with the CJB and Feather Pro blade and went with the Stirling Iced Coffee for the menthol kick of the week. JR#46 for the lather win. I have to say I really enjoy using pain sticks. I wasn't always that eager, especially in the beginning, but once mastered they do a fine job. Better than fine. Tonight's shave didn't start the smoothest as it took a couple of false starts to get going. Kept setting down and feeling like I had the angle wrong. I probably did. But after a few tries it felt right and I went with it and it was smooth sailing after that. Three passes to a near-BBS and the alum was mostly quiet. My hesitance to start the shave was a good reminder of a cardinal rule of any straight razor and, in my opinion, especially pain sticks. With those ultra-sharp machined blades they don't forgive mistakes. Anytime you're working with a razor with an open blade if, for any reason, you have that "I'm not sure about this" feeling - put it down and start over. If you can't get past it.....grab something else and come back another time. It's a lesson I've learned the hard way more than once. Tonight, for whatever reason, it just didn't feel right until that final start and then the feeling disappeared and I was good to go. Maybe too many things on my mind. Gotta remember to get that Zen of shaving going too. Gonna be a windy and rainy night as the tropical depression moves over us tonight. Hope you have a great night and a terrific Tuesday!
