thank you Tim,was an excellent shave.new rfb-favorite head, mentholated vintage williams was awesome, vintage old spice..the cherry on top.
My 1st razor was an ebony EJ DE89--everyone talked about how slippery it was, but I never had any trouble with it. I'm convinced that some people just have stickier fingers than others
i had the ej de89 razor with the solid unknurled handle.i gave it to my buddy when the gillettes started arriving.i just kept my hand dry.touch of alum on the fingers helps as well..the taper in the casing helped.
Thanks, Joe! I wanted to shave with it just once! I’m sure it’s been shaved with before over the last 100 years, but it is in remarkable condition for such an old razor. The French dealer who sold it to me bought it from an estate collection. So it’s relatively immaculate for a razor of its age.
Thanks, Andrew! It’s a very efficient shaver, but not adjustable like the French Famex. I’ll probably shave with one of the two I own in the next week or two.
Thanks, Joe! It’s probably been shaved with before, but given its immaculate condition and the fact it’s at least a century old, not very many times.
Thank you Jim! Thanks Clint! Sincerely appreciate the kind words Andrew! Thanks Joe! Thank you Jim! Thanks so much Tim! Thanks Joe, sincerely appreciated! The color coordination bar is pretty high around here....I'd probably save a ton of $ if I just get one of those Brad Sears Disco brush handles and then use it EVERY day. Thank you so much Gary! Good evening!
Thanks, Clint! It’s a very efficient shaver, sort of like an R41 on steroids! You really have to attend to the shave process, or Madame Le Coq will bite!
