Thursday's Shave Cold Water Rinse Archaic Alchemy Eureka Shaving Soap Jayaruh #313 Badger Maggard Slant Razor Gillette Silver Blue CWR Granddad's Blend AS The Archaic Alchemy Eureka Shaving Soap face-lathered well with my Jayaruh #313 Badger Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Maggard Slant Razor with a Gillette Silver Blue blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Granddad's Blend AS. Superb Soap! Wow. This was the first time I've used products from Story Book Soapworks and I'm sold. The lather belongs in the conversation with more heralded artisans. It loaded effortlessly on my Lutin and built into slick excellent lather almost instantly. There was plenty of residual slickness for touch-up work, and the post shave feeling is silky smooth. The splash is alcohol free and soothing. The scent is like the end of a bonfire on a beach - slightly salty and smoky - I really like it. The scent is medium strength to my nose. The best part is that all the proceeds go to support social justice! I'll be buying more soon! SE SOTD, June 11th,2020 Razor: Gem Junior bar lather catcher- Mfg 1907-11ish .Just a great razor with a modern Gem coated blade, fantastic shave today for going back in time with the turn of the century technology. Blade: Gem Personna SS PTFE (5) Great blade. Soap: Razorock Don Marco - I enjoy the citrus scent & great lather qualities. Brush: Yaqi Timberwolf whiskers 24mm synthetic, another great brush to use. Pre shave: shower, brush wash my whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser+ a dollop of clear Aoe Vera gel on beard. Prep: cold water rinse after each pass of 3 + pick ups. Post shave: Italian barber Amici aftershave with Witch hazel + a very small dollop of Nivea Balm. Results: CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers = just a great shave with my Gem Jr bar. Have some great shaves!
