  5. Around these parts its mainly asphalt shingles , where a 25 year shingle last 11-12 years if lucky.

  8. The roof is DONE! Yes I said it. So today I did a much needed head and face shave . It is also raining so its getting its first test.

  16. Thanks guys ! It sure relieved the stress but now I have the wet basement to tend to. Not sure if it was from leaking roof but I do know the living room ceiling is going to be replaced. Then theres the bathroom, 2 more windows, siding, etc etc .

    I had an old machinist tool box restored to store my straights. Buy some silica jell packets to keep everything dry. Here is mine:

    I have a stainless steel Friodur and it is breeze to hone. I have several stainless steel straights and I honestly can't tell the difference when honing or shaving. Sounds like the you put a fine edge on her.
