My big blade finally returned to me fresh from @gssixgun. Yeah, this thing is really big.

Shaving with it wasn’t as challenging as I thought it might be but I think I have to shave with it a few more times to get the best angle and technique. It wasn’t as smooth and close as I expected. But, I’ve been fooled before by first shaves so it’ll be back in use again soon.

Staying another night with the Feather SS and Pro blade combo. Honestly, these blades will go a week or more before even showing the slightest sign of dulling down or dragging. Three days on a shave is nothing for them. To stay basic I grabbed my Proraso. This was my first real soap back in the day and I sometimes forget I have it around. It's like Arko. It just makes lather. Plain and simple. And with the basic Stirling synthetic brush it was effortless and quite nice to face lather. Three passes to complete another near-BBS and make my day perfect! Well, the shave part anyway. Enjoy your Sunday!

Finally it's Sunday and I can rest!
Yes, I know I'm retired, but I sympathize with those who work and sympathizing tires me out!

Last night it was raining and the rain washed the air which remained out all night in the air and, now, it's dry.
And sunny.

I didn't have any particular olfactory inspirations so I picked up a soap abandoned since long and also wanted to try using only one AS, the nutritious semi-alcoholic.
I missed the burning of the alcohol and the subsequent relief of the balm.

But from a quick survey it looks like I'm as handsome as ever!
What a disaster...

BTW. I love soundtrack orchestral music. It's today's actual classical music. IMO, Ennio Morricone is one of the greatest composers of the modern motion picture era.

***EDIT - 2-pass + BBS chase. Got BBS with skin stretching and additional pressure. Got a couple of minor bleeders as payment for my overshaving. The Clubman styptic pencil silenced them. It's pretty clear that the Gillette Heritage is a very inefficient, smooth razor. Its angle promotes skin protection over beard cutting. Even with the most aggressive blade in my arsenal it is more tame on the stubble than my Merkur 1904. And that's not necessarily a bad thing. These razors serve a purpose for special events or shaving twice in less than 24 hours so to allow a Damn Fine Shave with minimal risk of irritation & cuts. Every den should have a razor like this because you're not trying to hit a home run on every shave, sometimes you want a strategic grounder. I took multiple shaves and a few blades to understand what role this razor will take in my lineup.
