I didn't think about TnS for a knot. I might have gotten that instead of the Omega. I am looking forward to seeing what you think of the knot.
That's one thing I hate about masks.....you can't project the scent of your aftershave anywhere. I dab some on my forehead.
Aaaaand another fine shave this morning. Very pleased, in fact. The Jeeves Bay Rum soap loaded onto the Stoylin "No-Name" with ease. 0:30 for that action. The No-Name swept across my face and neck with comfort. There was a "bump" I felt, just below the jawline, but thankfully nothing developed from it. I didn't shake the Stephan Bay Rum bottle enough, as when I applied it to my face and neck, I could immediately get smell of CLOVE(not that it drenched the entire A.S., but it shouldn't be THAT strong.) But once on, that fresh, clean feeling was there. THAT's why I like Stephan so much. Yeah, you get some clove, but it is neatly blended in with other features that make Bay Rum so popular. The bump and my forgetting to shake the B.R. moves the result down from yesterday-but not by much. Super-Duper Excellent.

Thank you Andrew. This is the aluminum DOC and its very light. Its super light by aluminum standards. The first pass was very smooth but the XTG and ATG passes were not as smooth. It was likely my fault. The DOC is really a cool little razor and I am sure I will really like it once I get it dialed in.
June 16th Noble Otter SS & AS - BarrBarr Jason's 2019 30DC w/Omega 10098 boar Drew Dick 7/8 Damascus Phoenix Artisan Accoutrements ASB - Star Jelly @jtspartan's 2019 30DC handle loaded up with the Omega boar knot always a joy to bowl and face lather.....created a wonderful super slick and lovely barbershop aroma'd lather from a Texas local....Noble Otter BarrBarr. The Drew Dick 7/8 Damascus is a recent BST acquisition. Gorgeous razor, couldn't pass it up. Bone scales w/inlay, blade work impeccable w/the two tone effect on the layered steel. 3 slow and meticulous passes, DFS+ results with no issues to report. Light application of PAA's Star Jelly (which is lightly mentholated) followed with NO's matching after shave. NO's barbershop fragrance, very familiar/similar to the Stirling Barbershop AS example I have, but a bit 'darker', meaning (from my nose) not quite as powdery. Hope everyone has a Terrific Tuesday!
Really like the boar. Perhaps even as much as the EJ best badger. So for brushes I now have, in order of preference, although the gap between the first three is very narrow, each have their different merits. RR Monster Plissoft EJ Best Badger Omega Boar Vie Long Horse Hair. blah, even got the dreaded knot in the middle, brushed it out. Not for smushing in a circular motion So for the rest of the month I will be alternating between horse and boar, and between ATT S1 and Wunderbar and occasionally my fav Rex.
June Focus Mediterráneo~~Simpson~~Boker~~Aqua Velva Battle stations, full steam ahead.... There's no stopping me now. While there are more than a few shaves remaining in the tin, I am bound and determined to finish this soap. The lather you see below is far too dry. Yes, there is a nice shine, but when I went to the face, it was readily apparent it needed significant hydration. So, that's what I did. I was rewarded with superlative, slick 'n shiny suds. Day two also with the Boker. I was too lazy to grab another razor. Worked on the recently conditioned SRP 3" and the Slavin 2" strops. The Boker was very sharp and delivered a crackin-good shave. Vintage Aqua Velva left me smelling.... ...good.
Joseph, I had you on my mind this morning as I did my shave report. Yeah, you're right, I can't out-review you, I suppose my reviews are more like Al Roker's weather reports on TODAY...(he'd kind of scan through the whole country in 10 seconds, making quick mention of anything that looks ominous. Perhaps that's all the time TODAY gave him! lol). Anyway.....Al Roker, you're no Primo.
