Understood, Neal. For the sake of science, though, I think we should go to KC and sample the ribs just to be sure.

Former Red Sox player Bill Lee said he loved playing in KC against the Royals, because "KC has the best steaks in the American League".

Beautiful shaves over the last two weeks, managed to get 16 beautiful shaves out of the derby extra.
These shaves are from last week, ive since replaced the derby with a Gillettes 7 o clock sharp edge, and re visited the body shop maca root cream, and ive gotten much better results than i remember getting, I'll post a new review on it after the next week or so.

    Shave 1:
Razor: 1948 Gillette aristocrat barber pole handle
    Blade: derby extra 11,12,13
    Brush: Wilkinson sword classic
    Soap: bundubeard coffee
    Balm: prep

    Shave 2:
    Razor: Gillette aristocrat barber pole
    Blade: derby extra 14, 15, 16

Right....the steaks around here can be better than they are. But this isn't Boston, Colorado/California/Arizona, etc.

    Thanks Joseph.

I may just buckle and get a Karve. However, I wont worry with all the different plates. Just the OC base plate and the F top plate will do. That's what hanging around here does to a guy.

I'll have to catch up with Gary on the granule situation. I had something nearly as bad happen to me last week. I was having trouble sleeping, and by golly, I found a pea under the mattress. The docs at Mayo suggested I sleep in the herb garden to get better rest. For the last few days, I've woken up refreshed and on Thyme.

Thank you, Paul. Recovery after a stem cell transplant is quite intense, and the especially difficult period lasts about a week. She's hanging in there. A dear friend described her as having the heart of a prize fighter. I have to agree.

    June 16 Birthday Shave

    Good Morning guys!

    Straight Razor Shave #181
    Max Sprecher 10/8 BN Pt
    Catie's Bubbles Tuxedo Knot
    Stirling Satsuma SS and AS

Well, I can't use any other razor today than my birthday present that I got earlier this month. I am now 65 and still can't believe it! I feel very good and thank God for it.

I picked the Satsuma because it is a favorite scent. I just love the orange fragrance. The brush gave me a nice lather and I was ready to go. I am really enjoying the Mad Max and now that I got the angle down pat it shaves very well. 2.5 passes and a near BBS shave. Splashed on the aftershave and there was very little feedback. I even put on the Nivea aftershave balm to end the shave. I will be spending the afternoon with a lady friend (no romantic interest) this afternoon. She is making me dinner to celebrate and she knows how to cook well! Enjoy the day guys! 20200615_181250.jpg 20200615_181250.jpg
