Razor - Kai Captain (pain stick)
    Blade - [IMG]
    Soap - Tabac
    Brush - I*V16 Hybrid badger/boar in Mesquite
    Post - Alum

Wow! It's after midnight already?! Time warping again. I sat down over two hours ago, started my daily post here, then got busy on something else and just realized I didn't post anything. Old age is really a pain in the behind sometimes.

Well, one more night with the Kai Captain and Feather Pro. It's TABAC TUESDAY......or it was when I shaved so that counts. Tabac and my second hybrid knot in mesquite from
@Joewa . I definitely love these brushes. Great density and feel and I need to give them more opportunities. The shave went well. Three passes with no worries other than a little heat from the alum on my neck. I had the angle a little high on the final pass there trying to avoid touch ups. So I'm not surprised.

It's already Wednesday so Happy Hump Day! Hope it's a great one.

Good day gents! Another perfect day here in the Midwest. Not much humidity again today, open doors and windows.
If you live here, you know the kind of day I’m talking about. Warm but not hot, nice cool breeze, and that sweet
chlorophyll/floral scent in the air. For me, that adds up to one thing The Veg. Sure, you here a lot of trash talk
about it, but don’t kid yourself, in this ‘situation’, it’s awesome.
Even though it’s not very humid, my skin still feels soft, and hydrated, no need for a humectant today.
A plain alcohol splash is the order of the day. And of course, when my skin is feeling soft, a badger brush with a soft
cream really provides a nice face feel.
Clubman Country Club shampoo (body and hair) soft washcloth
Clubman Tres Flores brilliantine (conditioner/hair tonic)
    Clubman Talc
    Clubman p.S.O.
    Clubman shave soap
    Simpson Colonel X2L
    Q-Shave scuttle
RazoRock ‘old style’ O.C. head on Merkur 33C handle
    Treet carbon steel blade
    Dickinson’s Whitch hazel (as always)
    Clubman Lilac Vegetal
I like the Treet blades for multipass shaves, because they aren’t coated, so you’re on the blade from the 1st pass.
After 3+ passes, the edge starts to deteriorate, and once it’s wet, the carbon begins to rust.
Since I’m only using it once, that’s all that’s needed. I save my stainless steel (rust proof) blades for 1 pass work shaves.
As I’ve posted in another thread, (In praise of the O.C.) the O.C. gives me the most close, comfortable shave.
As a result, I prefer them for multi pass shaves.
When using an A.S., I like to use the matching shave soap, P.S.O. etc.
Now I’m not a shill for Clubman, but their products check all the boxes for me: they are an established company
very traditional, classic scents, quality, not expensive, easy to get, always available, and I’m 50 yrs. old, not
too many people my age use, or know of these products. So, I don’t have a common scent.
It seems no matter where I go, if I’m using a Clubman A.S., I get a compliment. And believe it or not, no A.S. gets
more compliments than ‘The Veg’. Poured a glass of Makers Mark, Lit up my last Liga Privada #9,
Put on some music and plugged in my bass. Life is good gents, perfect for the ‘situation’.

    020-06-17, Wednesday

This morning I used a soap that is not among the best I have, but here, too, there are some evaluations to be made.

Time ago I criticized a soap and fellow shaver claimed that, once I learned how to lather it, it would give great performance.
So, perhaps this soap also needs a more attentive care to show its potential.
I used it very few times and, using it as a stick, the consumption was inadvertent: it still looks new!

It has a floral, light and very pleasant scent: I think it is the ideal hard soap for those who do not like too intense fragrances, but avoids the scent of soapy soap.

Razor and blade do not deserve a comment, but they have contributed to a very pleasant shave.

The Williams Mug Soap face-lathered well with my Jayaruh #1 Badger Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Schick C Repeater with a Schick Proline blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Aqua Velva 5 in 1 ASB. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
