What a pic! Interesting to hear about the 'adjustable' feature on that razor. I see Razorock also makes a nice looking Grand Shave King dupe now too. I've been thinking about it with a nice radio knob handle.
Fantastic shave and set up, Blair! That Dart is beautiful. One of these days I'm going to have to give Cella another shot
Everything looks great, Joe. That brush handle is such a classic shape, and one that I've used as an inspiration many times.
That is some serious colour matching with that great looking brush, Blair! Hope the doctors visits go well today.
Beautiful gear, and fantastic report, Joseph--never tried the Floid Blue, but I've tried on of the dupes and was very impressed
It could also be that you're getting your technique nailed down--I seem to recall quite a few Most Excellent and TotWE shaves as of late
Thank you guys. I would say that calling the razor adjustable is just marketing. To me, the DOC is just a normal 3 piece razor.
That is a true ‘basics’, Williams wednesday, Andrew. Well, besides the nice brush. You don’t see the Afta too often on here, but I remember seeing it in stores in the past.
Another wonderful Gem shave Andrew. I hope you are having a good day. Wonderful shave Jason. You can't go wrong with a SV soap & splash
Awesome! Thanks for the heads up on the strop. Gave it a quick look--love that it's got leather and canvas; gonna have to bookmark that one
Thanks, Clint. I concur about not going wrong with SV soaps. That’s probably why I have the Desert Vetiver inbound already...
Thanks, Jason! The brush was a gift from my kids a couple of Christmases ago. It was part of a 4 piece set sold on Amazon and works surprisingly well. I haven't used the goat's milk soap that came with it yet...
Thank you, Clint! Today is great, hope yours is too. After yesterday's stellar weather, today looks like it will be more of the same.
I've often wondered about the paddle strops--are there pros and cons to them vs the hanging strops, or is it just a matter of preference?
