ER 1912 Gem Stainless PTFE Vulfix 404 mixed knot MWF Really nice and comfortable 2 pass shave tonight. Finished with a cold water splash.
they had an abundance of silver and rhodium...and always on top of the nickel plating..hence the shiny long lasting finishes..
TGIF! Keeping with my theme I went vintage Old Spice soap, Omega Pro brush and a Toggle. The Toggle was loaded with a Super Iridium blade. Another use of the vintage OS and it confirms again this is the best performing soap I have used, while I wish the Toggle was more aggressive it did deliver an excellent shave today.
Just the Basics June! June 18 Razor - Feather DX Pain Stick Blade - Soap - Mitchell's Wool Fat Brush - Jayaruh #312 Post - Alum Well, after time warping Tuesday night into Wednesday morning I did a complete day jump over Wednesday to land on Thursday. Got home last night and basically crashed after a long day so no shave was attempted, considered, or even thought about. So, I have a nice two day growth to deal with tonight. Best way to handle that? Continue on the world pain stick tour and move on to the Feather DX. Love this razor as it's hefty, very well balanced and the stainless steel head/holder is a thing of beauty. With a Feather Pro blade it can take down a week's growth with no worries. So two days worth is nothing. The Fat for a "basic" soap. Yes, it's a bit more on the high end but still a long time winner in the soap department. The JR312 with faux horse knot handled the work of loading and lathering with no hitches in its giddy-up. Or would that be a faux giddy-up? Anyway, three passes for a winning near-BBS and I look and feel normal again. Hope you all had a couple of good days! Have a fantastic Friday tomorrow!!
