    Good morning guys!
    It's Favorite Friday Shave!

    Shavette Shave #165
    Parker SRB
    Rockwell DE 1/2 Blade (1)
    JR #290 Synthetic Brush
    Proraso Green SS
    Pinaud Lilac Vegetal

I normally don't shave an under 20 beard growth, but I wanted a cool down shave because it is very warm this morning. Everything worked well and got a very near BBS shave without any errors or irritation. I usually use the Proraso Green AS, but I haven't used the Veg in awhile. Applied it liberally and there wasn't any feedback. Have a great Friday fellas! 20200619_093704.jpg 20200619_093704.jpg

Awesome shave, gear, pic and post Maestro! In the past, I have done the same thing by changing the course of my shaves to go to BBS.

Fantastic shave, Joe--can't think of a better reason to shave than to simply cool things down when it's hot out. Love the looks of that Parker SRB, btw :D

Thanks, Jeff. I used to have a big stash of Feathers, but am down to my last few. I have other blades that I prefer. The Sharp Star and Voskhod are great; the Gillette Spoilers are nice and the Personna 74's are excellent as well. Almost forgot about my Wizamets and Polsilvers. Feathers have taken a back seat.

Gemini Shave Month (Twin shaves-same set up two days in a row).

    Rating: 5 / 5

Razor: JR Torrey Celebrated Hollow Ground
Brush: CRD Sky Dragon 26 mm Synthetic
    Lather: Declaration Grooming Trismegistus
    Aftershave: Stirling Arkadia
    Additional Care:
    Barbero Alum Block
    Stirling Tea Tree Witch Hazel
    Stirling Unscented Glacial Balm

The DG Trismegistus acquisition was my first full size tub from Declaration Grooming. I had previously obtained a sample size of Declaration Grooming/Chatillon Lux Gratiot Leaque Square. Therefore, a couple of years ago I requested a full size tub of GLS for my birthday. Unfortunately or not, GLS must not have been available so my wife picked up a tub of Trismegistus instead. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised with the scent of this soap. It is one of my favorites.

For this morning’s shave I decided to try something a little different. Usually, I pair this soap with CL Bon Vivant which works fabulously. Since I have been encountering some difficulty obtaining the DG Trismegistus splash, I decided to obtain a sample of Stirling’s Arkadia, which is inspired by Terre d'Hermes, to match the soap. Perfection!

A three pass shave, performed by the JR Torrey, ended up smooth as silk. My face is ultra smooth, with constant subtle whiffs of this fabulous scent offered up by both the soap and splash.

Gentlemen, there will be an encore tomorrow as I am keeping with the Gemini shave theme of the month.

Now I need to get on with my day. It is time to prep for my son’s second family birthday party courtesy of this pandemic. Instead of one big party two weeks ago, we had to split the family.
    On the agenda today:
    Make sauce for the Stromboli.
    Make rub for the ribs.
    Prep ribs
    Prep and marinade beef tenderloin.

No big deal. I love to cook. Actually, my family has stated that I have missed my calling. They believe I would have made a great chef. Who knows, retirement from teaching is now around the corner. Perhaps I may do some catering.

I’m a Wizamet, Sharp Star, Polsilver fan as well! I was just referencing them based on the Refine Shaving metric identifying them followed by Nacet as the sharpest, but definitely not the smoothest blades out there.
