    i prefer an omega boar .good back bone and it picks up well.MWF gets softer if you use it daily.i use mine once in a while so it hardens up a little.i also did bowl lathers for a bit with it to dial it in.i still do either..some folks give the puck a good soaking the night before it's first use.i just load and lather like i do modern williams build a beautiful lather with some love..

    I used my Omega boar and face lathered 1st pass. Bowl lathered 2nd pass which seemed to work better .

    Just the Basics June

    Fat Friday's Shave

    '59 Gillette Fatboy (set on 7)
    Personna Lab Blue (1)
    Jayaruh #314 Cocobolo Badger
    Mitchell's Wool Fat
    Pinaud Clubman Special Reserve

    A comfortable, no fuss shave today with the Fatboy and MWF. 2 very slick passes for a DFS - but two tiny weepers on my chin that I didn't even notice until after the shave.

    1st use of the MWF today and it worked out well. Face lathered on the first pass and it seemed to dissipate. Bowl lathered the second with better results. I think I'll try a synthetic brush for the head shave as I love to experiment. The Astras are holding their own so far as well. Picked out this bowl for the MWF since I like the design and it fit perfectly! Have a good day gents !

    awesome.it takes a little to dial in.it likes water.i did a mwf short focus a while back here and it got better after a few shaves.now i use it and it works excellent.but i don't leave it sit for more than 2 weeks and i keep it covered.it's worth the effort.post shave is awesome..

    As a MWF fanboy let me suggest the following:
    1: Work up a somewhat dry paste and apply to your shave surfaces.
    2: Face and dome lather directly on the shave surfaces with a wet brush. Keep lathering up to a minute and a half or more, applying more water as necessary, it’s a thirsty soap ( feels great), and I think you’ll end up with the fabulous thick slick lather MWF is known for!
