Congratulations on becoming a GGrandfather, Jeff! I was fortunate to have one living GGrandfather and two GGrandmothers during my childhood. I learned a lot from them and try to instill the values they taught me in my own two children now.
Happy Father’s Day, all! It has been several days since I’ve been able to check in. Two very nice shaves Friday and today. Everything worked as it should. Friday was a little closer feeling than today’s shave, but both were smooth and easy and left me smelling great. The Et Tu got the coveted (and copyrighted) SOA this morning. It has been a great Father’s Day so far, and I hope yours is great as well. Will try to catch up a bit when I get a chance. I woke up this morning and decided that instead of chasing the baby with a DE for my Sunday shave, I'd do it with the Focus R21 shavette--baby or bust! I'm also using all of my favorite gear
Fantastic report and beautiful set up--I agree with your choice to replace the scales. The iridescence coming off the new scales is stunning and complements rather than detracts from the gold etching on the blade. Beautiful razor.
Beautiful photo and awesome gear, Jim--the brush matches perfectly with the Asian Plum labeling I'm certain the new knot will sort itself out after a few uses.
Thank you, Joseph! Actually the plan was to finish it up on Monday so I could chase the baby with a DE on Sunday, but I got impatient
Lovely photo and fantastic set up, Peirpaolo! That's the first time I've ever seen a Super Slim Twist (in any color)--very nice!
Sorry to break it to you, Joe, but as a teacher you are most certainly a dad--might even be the closest thing to a father some of your students will ever have. Same thing with all you other mentors/role models--it takes a village...
Wonderful shave and report, Paul! That RR Lime Burst and Stirling Glacial Lime sounds like a wonderful pairing
Thank you for the sentiment Tim! At my age, I would say grandfather and in some instances great-grandfather role. It is amazing when I walking at the park, some of the students wave and say hi or literally walk up to me. Now, these students range from 7th through 12th and I am taken aback by the love and courtesy they give to me. I am fortunate to work at a very nice district.
Lovely photo, Gary, and fantastic RFB! It's nice to see a ball end handle that isn't cracked. I've often wondered about that--why are all the ball end handles that I see on the bay cracked?
Beautiful pics and great set up, Joseph Sorry to hear the Feather, lather, and shave weren't up to standard.
