  2. That brush looks and sounds fantastic, Clint. That soap sounds like it may not be a bad match for Terre d’Hermes as well.

  3. Thanks, Jason! I keep a perpetual "wish list" on Amazon for these occasions. Fortunately, my Mom has the link saved and helped the kids out for me.

  4. Not sure if someone else has already answered this, Tim, but the pre-Tech ball end handles often split due to the pressure of the ball end fitting into into the Sleeve. I do have a OT Ball End without a crack, but yes, many do.
The Tech ball end handles were one piece, so no pressure fitting.

  7. A rare substandard shave with that Floating Head, Joseph. I need to pull mine out next week when the basic focus ends.

  13. A fantastic till-we-meet-again shave. The cool thing about remodeling is making things exactly what you want them to be; it can be arduous or frustrating at times, but always worth the effort. If the remodel is even slightly better than what I've seen of the original, it'll be pretty awesome. ;)

Till then, thank you for all you've done and for all you will eventually do again :)

  16. Glad your Father’s Day shave went well, Andrew! Lime Sec is one of my favorites, although the high alcohol content can result in a real “wake-me-up” post shave experience! Old Spice Lime is also very nice! Celebrating with family is always special! How nice that your children bought Dad something they knew he’d appreciate.

    Blade: Gillette Nacet (3)
Brush: Grizzly Bay Biblical/Shoat gel boar
    Pre-shave: PAA Rabid Banana Cube
    Soap: PAA Astra Planeta

    Good morning!

Excellent shave to start the day! Three passes for near BBS. Nearly silent alum.

No problems with the Shoat knot picking up plenty of soap this morning. A couple more hairs lost though. I'll give it a few days rest and return to it this weekend.

    Have a great day!

  18. All the best to you, Neal! I hope all goes well! I’ll look forward to your return!
  19. Great photo, Jim! Is your Shoat knot similar to the Gelled Boar knot everyone’s talking about lately? Have a great day!

  20. Thanks, Jason, it was very nice! My youngest Grandson, Nate, age 2 came over and enjoyed the pool! Two of my other kids showed up with their families as well. 7 grandkids age 2 - 17 in the pool. We had 18 family members hanging around the pool enjoying Michigan Hots and refreshments. Hopefully, we didn’t spark any new Covid outbreaks. SWMBO and I maintained our social distance and remained masked except when eating. My first Father’s Day as a Great-Grandfather, and my oldest son’s as a grandfather.
