I live in Port Jeff Station. We may have run into each other at Wendy's, Branchinelli's Pizza or Heritage Park without knowing it. Lol! I would say we are the two DC members that live the closest.
Thank you, Gary--I should have joined TSD when I first started wet shaving 8 years ago. I settled for bad shaves because they weren't nightmarish ones like when I was using a Gillette Fusion Shavettes may very well have toughened me up a bit, but I also think the shavette taught me to shave with a lighter touch as well--I used to shave like I was kneading bread dough
Wow, that actually sounds ideal! Plus, 2 piece designs are super cool--I loved the Parker Variant partially because it was a 2 piece
Thank you, Joe! Totally agree. I didn't chase, and still caught the baby. Feels great and all, but I'm afraid I might slip back into old habits if I come to expect BBS each time. Plus one less pass is me out the door without having to rush as much
Thanks, David. I was too (for close to 30 years), and it absolutely destroyed me--terrible technique. Over the last half year I've come to appreciate the near BBS/DFS. Comfort now trumps closeness for me--though I still enjoy a crazy-smooth face every now and again
Thank you, Jeff! Riding the cap with the Slim lets me take it to 9 without any drama. I also have heard that Slims aren't all that aggressive even at their highest setting--certainly not like the Rex Ambassador or the TAR
Fantastic shave and gear, Patrick--so cool with the watch! What DE were you shaving with? Love that color
