On this early summer day, after careful consideration, I have chosen an excellent cream with fantastic texture and unlikely smell.

The brush is a small Silvertip that, however, fulfills its task with dedication and efficiency.

Razor and blade (properly corcked) carried out their task perfectly and I am shaved and ready to face another day in this fantastic nation as beautiful as few and organized as a third world one: can I want something more?

Actually, yes, but that would be too long a talk.

  11. Rainy day today. During the summer, in wet weather I like to wear Lime Sec. The powder scent works well against
the wetness, providing a ‘drying’ effect. And the lime is perfectly placed in warm weather. The name ‘Lime Sec’
literally means ‘dry lime’, so there you go. Perfect for the ‘situation’.

    Soap/shampoo- Clubman Country Club shampoo.
Conditioner/hair tonic- Clubman Eau de Portugal.
    Deodorant- Clubman deodorant spray.
    Talc- Clubman Talc
    P.S.O.- Clubman
    Shave cream/soap- Clubman shave soap.
Brush- Yaqi Barber Pole 2band badger.
    Scuttle- Q-Shave
Razor- RazoRock 37 slant head on Merkur 33c handle.
    Blade- Shark chrome.
    Witch hazel- Dickinsons (as always)
    Aftershave- Clubman Lime Sec.
I swear, I’m not a Clubman shill. I simply love their products. In a humid climate, it’s the best.
The Eau de Portugal hair tonic is great for summer. It doesn’t go on ‘heavy’, a lot of conditioners feel ‘heavy’ in
my hair, like it’s not all washed out. And then my hair feels heavy. With the Portugal, it goes on real light.
Now, that’s provided that you don’t overdo it. You don’t need that much. It leaves my hair light, soft, manageable
without getting greasy or stiff. Also, if you’ve read my threads, you’ll notice I’m trying out some new razor blades.
Here’s what I’ve discovered so far: once I use a blade a couple of times, I can get a good shave out of them.
Once you ‘learn’ the blade, you can use them pretty comfortably. My preference for blades is, I like sharper
blades in my slant for 1 pass ‘work’ shaves. Like a ‘smoother’ blade in my O.C. for multipass shaves.

The Tabac Shave Soap face-lathered well with my Jayaruh #2 Two-band Badger Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Bunny V3 Injector with a Schick Proline blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Tabac ASB. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
