Just joined after reading many of the threads. I've always had a beard so only been shaving for about 4 months. Covid 19 masks fit much better without a full beard. I remember my Dad shaving with a DE razor and a brush and seeing him drop his used blades in a slot at the back of the medicine cabinet. Sadly I've forgotten anything he taught me about shaving back then (That was 50 years ago). I do remember cartridge razors were not comfortable for trimming under my beard. I'm now enjoying shaving after an initial learning period and look forward to the time with the blade. Using a Rockwell 6C and trying some vintage Gillettes-1954 Tech and a Super Speed. My wife thinks I'm crazy but I'm having a lot of fun. Still getting weepers below my lower lip but everywhere else is easy. Hope to learn from you all. MelC
Yeah, @MelC , you are crazy. Definitely crazy... crazy... But it is fun. It is a great way to spend your retirement. HA!
Welcome to the den. If you haven’t figured it out yet; you’re only 102 miles from Maggard Razors in Adrian.
to TSD @MelC I hope you enjoy it here. Give it a little time and your in for the best shaving of your life.
