Now that I'm understanding the differences between the way synthetics, boars and badgers behave, I've really come to enjoy their Finest Badger--it was touch-and-go there for a while. Anybody I get into wet shaving gets a Stirling synthetic
Yupper! Made locally. Not far from the old Simms brush plant. When I was in the west I drank a 'few' Kokanee. Hehe You ever sample that stuff ??
Thank you for the kind words, Gentlemen. Work will slow down in the next week or two and will be ok. One of the parcel contents is on deck for tomorrow’s shave.
Kokanee is made in Creston, a hundred km west of here. Long since ended being a local brewery as it was bought by Labatt 20 years ago or so. It was THE local beer until the corporate purchase.
I am pretty low key when it comes to aftershave. For a number of years I only used Superior 70, but the store across the street from work stopped carrying but started with Dr. Sana. It is pretty much the same stuff, just a light bay scent that doesnt stick around too long. I don't use it every day, just whenever the mood strikes. Most days a cold water splash is plenty for me.
Thanks, Jason! The shaving stick and this cream are excellent products. Not just the great lathers of both, but post shave as well.
I got the fever for aftershave from my Dad. He splashed the old Aqua velva blue or Old spice like it was going out of style , God Bless his soul.
Low budget mosquito deterrent. They are in full force but I cant bring myself to go inside . Its just too nice and mild out tonight.
Ha! True. Although the shipping costs from Connaught are variable/incremental based on weight and also very reasonable. Shipping on this order was $7.23 and I bought 7 items. And they gave me an extra free tube of Palmolive menthol cream.
If you like an inexpensive, light, and simple bay rum that doesn't stick around too long, this could be for you. Aside from a slight difference in color, it is pretty much the same thing as Superior 70. It also has enough alcohol content to let you know when you technique is off. I wouldn't go out of my way to find it, but if you see it some where local, by all means give it a shot. I think i paid $3.25 for the bottle.
