My Schick "Krona" (long, metal knob) with a Gillette Blue -first use of Tabac Soap! -first use of this handmade, pottery and badger brush -one of my favorite a/s...an oldie but a goodie Lovely warm, summer day shave. My first use of Tabac Soap! Wow...perfect for this summer day. The sweet smelling tobacco flower scent is the very essence of summer. Tabac went so well with another very familiar summer scent to me, Lilac. When I grew up we had several Lilac bushes bordering our property. I'll always remember how they smelled, from first blooms to full flowers. This old Lustray doesnt quite capture the all too real, natural smell of Lilac bushes in the summer like the Veg does, but its such a wonderful summer day scent. I discovered the legendary lather quality of the Tabac, which gave my 2 pass shave a smoothness I appreciated without irritation in this humidity. It was brought to life by the beautiful "new to me" but vintage hand made pottery badger brush. I have not, and probably won't reknot it. Ahhhhhhhh….summer florals!

2020-06-24, Wednesday A good day starts in the morning! I felt lavanderish and I acted accordingly: ready and decisive action is the key to success! As usual, I lined up the performers on the window adding to the cast what is an artist's touch: a few flowers of lavender picked from my boundless Provencal lavender plantations. I opened the shower tap and, comme d'habitude, I went to the wardrobe to get clean underwear (just today the canonical month of underwear use expires!) and, back in the bathroom, I found out that a ridiculous dripping came down from the showerhead. What's going on? I thought. From a quick and accurate investigation (see prompt and decisive action...) it turned out that the pump had failed and so, the picture doesn't represent what I used, but what I wanted to use. What about the shower? I'll stink until the plumber fixes it! WEDNESDAY'S SHAVE Perfumed by: Olivier Creed Razor - Edwin Jagger "Kelvin" Blade - *2nd Shave Shave Brush - Satin Tip "The Purest" Shave Soap - Wet Shaving Products "Gaelic Tweed" Rustic Vegan Formula (In my own personally labeled tub) Aftershave - Wet Shaving Products "Gaelic Tweed" Deodorant - Herban Cowboy "Unscented" (don't want to use up the rare, discontinued deodorant) Fragrance - Creed Green Irish Tweed ***EDIT - 1 Pass + only marginal clean up needed. I went against the grain from pass 1, then just felt around and touched up minor spots. Gotta say that the DE-89 head + a Feather Blade is one of the best shaves. IMO, only my Merkur Futur with a BiC Chrome-Platinum blade outperforms the DE-89/Feather combo. Really love the shave results this morning. Fantastic with minimal effort. The WSP Rustic shave soap with the pre-shave oil make for a problem-free protective shave. Can't ask for more than the results I got today. BBS and no irritation or problems.
