The Williams Mug Soap face-lathered well with my Jayaruh #2 Two-band Badger Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Bunny V3 Injector with a Schick Proline blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Cella ASB. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

I’m really enjoying these Wilkinson blades a lot - they’re just as good as the Derbys and possibly a little better. The Hallows soap smells beautiful, it lathers like a dream, it has good slickness, and it’s very skin friendly. The Bull Dog moisturizer works so well as a balm, and the Max Disinfecting aftershave smells great, yet it doesn’t clash with any fragrance, and although it stings like hell for a couple of seconds the sting changes to a wonderful, soothing sensation. Two passes gave me a lovely shave!

I own and use the Souther Witchcrafts “Desairology” soap & splash.

+1 per these comments on performance. It is really great stuff (IME)!

 

I checked them out on the net an seen they are vegan.
What is your opinion re. performance?
I prefer tallow based soaps, but use many vegan ones, so...

Back to shaving after a short break from the journals etc. The Rockwell 6C always impresses when it comes up in rotation and today was no different. Plate 4 and loaded up with a fresh Gillette Wilkinson Sword.

Wanted something a tobacco scent to it and so I reached for the Santa Maria del Fiore today. Tuscan tobacco in scent, it is a fantastic soap. You just scrape out a little and drop it into your fav lather bowl. Works the charm.

Lovely two pass DFS shave achieved which is all I was looking for today. Topped it off with some JV Dark Rebel to keep that smoky tobacco and leather vibe going. Take care and safe travels....

SE SOTD - Wed, June 24th 2020- A very inexpensive shave today!

Razor: Gem Junior 1912 baton handle Parade- Mfg 1943, Excellent razor, mid range & no blade overhang.
Blade : Gem Personna SS PTFE (8) Very sharp, excellent longevity, good cost, smooths out nicely over blade life cycle!
Soap: ARKO- legendary shavers soap and very controversial Scent, great lather qualities IMO.
brush: Razorock Noir 400 Plissoft synthetic- great brush, does everything I want and a little more.
Pre shave: Brush wash my face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser + a dollop of clear Aloe Vera gel on beard area.
Prep: cold water rinse after each pass of 2 (WTG,ATG) + pickups.
Post shave: Pinaud Clubman with witch Hazel + a tiny dollop of Nivea balm.
Results: CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers =Just a great shave with my Gem Jr 1912 with baton handle.
