  1. Great looking shave despite the mishaps. Happy Birthday to your grandson. I hate those I told you so drives. Good luck.

It really is a great soap.
  2. I think you will enjoy using Haslinger! Post shave is on par with MWF and the lather is more stable IMO. I do see a small difference in the post shave comparisons. With our high humidity climate here, I find the MWF gives off a shiny look on my face later in the day. That is not so much the case with the Haslinger.
  3. Thanks, Clint! I’m sure it is. After getting down to three soaps, I’m now back up to four. What I do like about the soap description is that it’s not smelly!
  4. Excellent shave, Joe! That really is a great looking brush.
  5. This is seriously impacting my “soap reduction” efforts, Andrew! I was down to 3, and suddenly I’m back up to 4.
  6. Just doing my community service. :D
  7. Thanks, Joe! Those two straights my son had made for me by a custom knife maker in Arizona came yesterday! Although I’m far from the expert you are, I don’t believe a knife maker’s assurances to my son that they are ‘very sharp’ necessarily means the bevels are set properly and that they are properly honed. I’m bringing them to him at my grandson’s party. He’s sending them off to Gem Customs, whom he uses for his razors, to check the bevels and have them properly honed if necessary. 6FA43F4A-445B-4DA2-9E6B-2D07C09B601B.jpeg
  8. Nice, Jeff!
    Congrats!

  9. That's exactly what they are, Jeff-). We aren't talkin astroturf with these.
  10. Thanks Andrew! Jim makes great brushes and his prices are reasonable. There are some brushes still available on his site, but the time to purchase one is short because he has said that he will no longer make them.
  11. The straights look great Jeff! Thanks for the compliment, but I am far from being an expert with straights.
  12. Thanks, Joe and I agree. I own #314.
  13. I agree with @Trigger completely! I own four of his brushes, plus a 15 razor stand he made for me out of red oak!
  14. Thanks, Jim!

  15. He's made a whole lot as it is.
  16. Close to 400.
  17. Lovely shave, Joe! I’ve always admired that brush handle of yours.
  18. Thanks, Jim!

  19. I'm trying to reduce soaps, but when I make my Bill Neumann purchase, I'll have to buy an unscented soap, so as not to interfere with the Neumann offerings. I'll get that done in the fall.
  20. Well, Paul, I only shave with Unscented soaps/creams or seriously muted scents like Nancy Boy Signature.
