  1. thank you Tim.i prefer the ball end,but try to use it's original handle when presenting a unique piece.on most work type shaves i use my favorite news but with my solid handles where needed.this razor won't be a daily .it' s cool but rare and i have other new lc razors to replicate it..i usually use the rare or mint pieces on weekends or days off.helps keep them nice..
  2. Spectacular, Jeff!

  5. You may not be aware, Tim, but I spent 50 yrs shaving with the same Schick Krona (DE) until it gave up the ghost. A no pressure shave is second nature to me. Common sense, however, not so much! I should never have removed SWMBO’s ankle weights from my forearms. :kngt:
  6. Super Schick shave, Andrew!
    Wonderful shave and photos, Joseph!

  8. The VC4 is a really great head shaver. I love using mine. Glad you enjoyed your shave, Joe.
  9. You’re amassing quite the British/ Euro Gillette collection, my friend! Some day I’ll be able to say I knew him back when...

  10. Awesome shave, Andrew!
  11. Thanks, Andrew! Only on the noggin today, but I do begin to be making progress in the open edge direction. I now understand why many straight shavers are content with a good DFS. I was this morning!
  12. Great Type L shave! It’s a pleasantly mild injector shave, at least for me! You’ve also inspired me to pull out the Lime Sec! Nice stuff!
  13. Niice, Joseph!
  14. Thanks, Gary! I could really get into this straight razor shaving stuff if I didn’t have to bother with stropping and honing!
  15. Thanks, Clint! It was my hubris connected with removal of the forearm weights that resulted in the bloodletting yesterday!

  16. Superb straight shave, Jeff! Although I can get a BBS with a straight, I go just shy of it because there's really no need for me to do so and that is why I go for IBBS++. So, I am very excited for you that you can get a DFS in such a short time. IBBS++/BBS- is not that great a leap to attain.
  17. Fantastic ooh la la shave, Gary!
  18. Awesome shave, Joe! Have a safe trip to NYC.
  19. thank you Jeff.it's given me some sanity while i wait to be recalled to work..:)
  20. thank you Joe..seemed to fit the bill..:)
